If you don't understand why so many of us are hyped because of that then you don't understand why so MANY gamers love the Borderlands series and why it will be a huge financial success for Gearbox.

We are all allowed our opinion but for me you are wrong. If you changed the basic artistic character of the game it would no longer be Borderlands. If the style does not fit for you that is cool, there are a tons of 'realistic' style games out there for you to play. From the trailer it looks like they are sticking to the core character of the game and I am VERY happy about that.
