For some people being identified with their ancestral race is a point of pride, not racism. It is the cultural identity people want to celebrate and preserve. Many times this might even include some kind of racial identity as well. People actually do come from different places with different traditions, languages, body types, skin colors etc. Why should acknowledging these differences be considered racist? To me the problem is prejudice. When peoples rights are taken away because of race, or treated inhumanly because of race, that is prejudice.. This is hateful and wrong. People can be different yet still have the same rights as everybody else. As long as there is respect for fellow humans, and equal rights in the world, I don't see a problem with people being identified by their race a problem at all.
Not being racist is the new racism.
