I know there are usually millions of these, but anyway I played Bioshock and I liked it a lot. never played the Orange Box but now that it is excellent. Advice?battlefront23

Now that it's excellent? Please enlighten me. Orange Box is an overrated steaming pile of PC translated to a console. The gameplay feels very much like a PC game on console. While the game was great in it's day it's certainly not all that anymore. And I can't get over badly the controls the feel on console. I might one of few who feel this way, but Orange Box is not excellent. Half Life 2 was excellent. Orange Box is nothing more than Good. My advice, go rent Orange Box and see how you like it. Personally I'm glad I didn't buy it because it would have been the biggest waste of $60 I spent this year...

What game is in your xbox 360?Bucharifique

:D for the first time in months I can say this... Nothing. Absolutely nothing is in my 360. Just beat Mass Effect last Friday, Cod 4 a week before that, Assassins Creed a week before that and so on. Right now there isn't anything I want to play so nothing is in my 360 atm. Either going to play Rainbow Six Vegas again (bought it for 360 cause amazon.com had the LE on sale for $20, and I had sold my PS3 version earlier this year), or else I'll start playing Mass Effect or Bioshock again; probably. Not really sure though. Right now I'm spending some much deserved time w/ my PS3 in Unreal 3, and other games I've neglected while conquering the 360s recent lineup...

Another reason for my lack of attention for the games is that I also have a 360 and a Wii and alot of games for those as well.WiiFreak77

I've had no problem so far this gen. I still have a backlog of PS2 games, but my 360 & PS3 games are nearly all beat... Bioshock, Halo 3, Mass Effect, Assassins Creed, Guitar Hero II and III [medium], Ninja Gaiden Sigma, Uncharted, Heavenly Sword, CoD 4, and Blue Dragon [at end, spent to much time leveling up and shooting for achievements I had to take a break]. Along w/ some other games earlier this year, all of which i surely can't remember; Resistance, GoW2, RSVegas... Then again, I think this was the first year I actually beat so many games. I spent a few years in Final Fantasy XI and even since then have been playing a lot of RPGs, few of which I ever finished. But recently I spent all my time w/ my 360 beating those games these past 3 months, and now it's onto the PS3 to beat some new games like Unreal 3, Ratchet and Clank, Folklore, and possibly pick up Oblivion again.

Anyway, I'd suggest picking up some of those games and playing them again. Take one at a time and just play them till they're finished. The longer you wait the harder it is to get back into them and/or play them. Because there isn't much being released these next 3 months nows a great time to do some catching up. ;)

no wonder the guy doesn't own any games. He can't even count, let alone hold a job. :P

& this is yet to confirmed. This is just another article stemming from EGM. & idk about you guys but I've noticed lots of games being listed w/ a wrong date in gaming magazines. Crap, the internet is flooded w/ crappy release date info, filler dates, and ballpark dates... Is the Delay Probable, Yes. Official, No. I never get my hopes up on a release date because most games never do make their original release date, but I'll wait for something more official before deciding this is in Fact Delayed till late 08...

If possible I'd say keep the 360 and buy a PS3. When my PS3 fails to get me playing I can always find something on the 360 to go play, and vice versa. Both are excellent consoles and offer some great games and experiences.

My only gripe w/ the 360 is how they're ripping people off w/ these microtranactions. I don't like that one bit. Pay for a gamer pic? WTF!? On the flip to that the PS3 has quite a few Gamer Pics but very few are any good, and they lack 3rd party pics.

Pros: built in Wi-Fi [may or might need, might think you don't need but might come in handy, has for me], Blu Ray player if you have a 1080p television, Free Online Play, aren't getting milked w/ microtransactions for should be free material, some great games, and exclusives available and coming, easily upgradable hard drive...

Cons: Games are still rather limited in number since it's only been on the market for a year now, online can be a bit shoddy at times and with some games {no more than XBL from what I've personally noticed/experienced though}, developers still don't really know how to program games {but that's always been the case w/ the PS}, lacks achievements atm...

the choice is ultimately yours to make, but my suggestion would be to try and keep that 360 and find a way to buy a PS3. If that's definitely not an option I'd say you have to look at the games and consider which interest you more. Do the PS exclusives interest you more than the 360s? Because pound for pound I say the 360 and PS3 are equals. Obviously the PS3 still lags behind in the online and features department because they're just now getting into an integrated network but overall they are pretty close to equals when considering games, and online play. At least imho...

Uncharted, it's an instant classic, great game from top to bottom, and the best thing in treasure hunting since the original Tomb Raider [w/o the clunky the controls]. Ratchet and Clank is another solid option and probably the best in the series imo, but Uncharted imo is simply to amazing to pass up...

I'll say this. Half Life 2 didn't port over to consoles well. I played the 360 version last weekend [rented it, own PC version of HL2] and the game felt like a PC game on a console. They didn't even polish the game to suite console play. The controls, movement, and everything about the game felt awkward and clunky. Not to mention it's a 2 year old game. Sure it's still a decent game, but pails in comparison of the newer FPSs like Bioshock, CoD4, Resistance, and sadly enough, even Halo 3 imo. On a side note Portal was awesome. Personally I don't think anyone should be buying this game on a console. And the fact that Gabe Newel [owner of Valve] continuously bashes consoles, especially the PS, felt that developing for the PS3 was a waste of all developers time so pawned the game off to EA for development, and fact he has little regard for us console gamers makes this a notable game worth not buying. It's certainly not all that bad but it's nothing more than mediocre to average at best imho...

Virtua Fighter 5 for PS3 $40 [Brand New] + $10 for online = $50.

Virtua Fighter 5 for 360 $60 [Brand New] + Live =

Either way you look at it Virtua Fighter 5 w/ a $10 download for online is still cheaper than the $60 360 version. It's still a hefty price to pay for an online component added to a game, but the total cost of VF5 on PS3 plus the extra $10 is still a very reasonable price. And you can always, easily find the game used for $20-30... Maybe that's why they dropped the price to $40 only a couple-few months after release. Or maybe because always Sega planned sales would be much larger than they ever are...

OK, I'm either gonna rent R6V today or tomorrow, And i just have a few questions about the game that the review didn't really address or clarify.

1. Does R6V have an offline Co-op (aka split-screen) and if so, for how many players?

2. Does it offer an offline multi-player like R:FOM?

3. Can two people play on-line from one PS3 with other people (aka, split-screen on-line)?

roydabomb

Yes, it had co-op.

Yes it has online.

From what I'm aware of you can't even do that on the 360. Or so many have said...

Try reading previews and reviews and everything you just asked would have been answered.
