honestly the prices seem pretty reasonable to me.... Ys VIII being $60 is still a steal; great series. Also, on console, try finding a North American copy for less than $120. I know because I was just looking to pick one up. Instead I bought it on sale digitally for $30-35. Now the EU version is available for about $35-40 & while it's likely similar enough or the same it's still a different regions package. Which, imo, is only good when it's a game not releasing stateside or you simply enjoy playing JRPGs in their native language.

lastly, even with the price increase there's no doubt these games will continue to go on sale from time to time on PC and console. It's not like they're raising the price and never going to discount them. 2 cents

I just started playing May 3rd. Already into post ShB. I was a bit disgusted about the housing and lack of storage. Especially being a dabbler in all trades. I've leveled all my DoH to 60+, DoL to [slacking] 64+ alongside 2 characters to lvl 80 [BLM/SAM], a Ninja at 63, Pally at 50, Monk at 36, etc.

At least in XI I could create additional characters that served as mules instead of paying $1/mo for additional retainers. Which at this point I only have 1 paid retainer but I desperately need 1-2 more for gear and crafting mats. Especially since I'd like to keep some gear instead of re-buying it as I continue to level other characters soon.

Also, unlike XI I was completely surprised they didn't have a standard room, at the very least, in which we could place furniture and store gear based on our each piece of furnitures capacity. And to also grow stuff, sleep, etc. While I wouldn't mind owning a house I would be more than happy with a single room like XI where I can stash any and all gear of my choosing. And the armoire in the Grand Company provides little relief as very little gear is able to be placed into it. That, imo, would be the simplest solution. just give us a room like XI and allow us to grow, sleep, and place items, furniture, and gear into the respective furniture.... 2 cents

@chiefwiggum16: Delvers Drop? That is old school Zelda; ie NES Dungeon crawl. Been hoping to see it on PS but it's been about 7 years now.

I see what you did there. Like Netflix, hmmmmm, sounds a lot like PS Now which everyone is raving a failure after Sony pulled it from PS3 and Vita and is focusing solely on PS4.

Rise of Iron sounds more to me like the cut Cabal Raid. 2 cents. I mean everything we got so far was from original content that was suppose to be included day one and the only thing we're still missing is that Cabal Raid.

@Paulf001: Destiny is a solid game. Honestly Bungie pulled a good one on us by saying The Taken King was going to be this massive update. Instead of massive content we expected we got minimal in terms of new stuff. The only massive thing about the update was that they stripped everything out of it and replaced all weapons, armors, etc. Also in September there's usually not to play which makes it easier to get suckered into Destiny for a couple more months. I do think that after last year more will be hesitant to buy this Falls update though if there isn't anything to compete with or play many gamers might find themselves back and disappointed again. End of the day Destiny is a solid game. The mechanics are spot on and the game is just fun. The biggest problem has been lack of content, changes, being forced to grind for no reason w/ each update and the fact Bungie refused to balance weapons separately for PvP and PvE. Plus not having dedicated servers for PvP often makes the game unplayable. Anyway it will be interesting to see just how many the DLC again. Much as I enjoy the game I've spent $140 already and received far too little.

kind of surprise no one has pointed out that they neglected to mention that the Bookmark is also included.

via the description online:

“The Greatsword of a knight tainted by the Dark of the Abyss.” The Wolf Knight’s Greatsword, only in this deluxe package, is a sculpted and etched metal bookmark to mark your place while using the hardcover guide.

@VXXXJesterXXXV:

yeah the pricing is high. Unfortunately Gamespot forgot to mention the Bookmark also included. For a resin Estus Flask, bookmark and guide that is definitely steep. While $50/60 is certainly a good price I'm afraid that is likely a low ball price for this package. Especially considering the book, though available for $20-30 for the LE has an MSRP of $40. Way I figure it is a resin figure about that size is probably going to run about $50+ while that big, nicely detailed bookmark could go for $15-20 retail. Either way you try to cut it the MSRP and current discount price of $123 at amazon is just too steep.
