I'm anarcho-liberal, and been pan since I first hit puberty. My girlfriend is trans, lives in England, and is planning to fly over to visit sometime this or next year. I'm doing what I can to vid chat with her on a future physically together. No relationship works without communication.

My father is super conservative, and has made anti-LGBT comments to me in the past. Last time was as recently as early last fall, when he established "there is no such thing as gender fluid, non-binary etc." My mother whom I live with is moderate-conservative, and she's done a far better job of understanding me than him. She watched Pose from the beginning to the end, and I credit it for her being aware.

My father voted for Trump in 2020, and I honestly wasn't as shocked as I should've been. If he could do that, he will definitely explode when I attempt to introduce him to Remi (that would be my gf. I'm 26 and she's 27 if you need to know).

I honestly don't want to put myself through the agony of telling him I'm with her + holding an in person introduction. But I will to show him how wrong he is about love being between "cis men and cis women only."

Really? I've always considered it more silly/cute cuz of all the character skins than annoying. Respectfully, I don't play it.

They banned it because of "mouse nudity?" The second volume of Hilda and the Troll has the main character full on naked, and she's like, a 10 year old girl. No one flinches at that.

Like...why now? Conservatives become worse liars with each passing headline. Harry Potter is still banned cuz of "satanism."

This is Mortal Kombat we're talking about, but daaamn. Japan is the last country I thought would ban any of those games in particular.

It makes no sense. Don't they realize adult play video games too...

I know Call of Duty's the bigger cash cow, but c'mon! Ubisoft needs better management than Activision.

Both have dirtbag upper tier employees, but, in my humble opinion, there is no real strategy to save Call of Duty other than "relieve" the ones at Activision. Assassins and hackers are way cooler than cosplayed Chad soldiers with big guns grinding endlessly.

My point being Assassin's Creed and Watch Dogs have more potential to be rebooted under new creators. CoD is just the same shooters. In the former two, you get to slit throats and hack tech centers.

Ubisoft was planning to make a AC equivalent of GTA Online, where you get to be your own assassin in the time period of your choice. Tbh, I don't see the House That Ancel F**ked Up lasting more than two more years.

And so what if Xbox is the brand best known for shooters? They haven't expanded their repertoire since, literally 6th Gen, when they came out with the first Xbox. There was a character action game for every taste back then. Times have changed.

So why did Spencer, in your opinion, do this? Was it solely cuz he only gives a s**t about franchises that make the most money? Or because Creed and Watch Dogs aren't seen as "real Xbox" titles?

POC lead character? Check. Lead character who's an assassin? Check. Unique af ultra violent character action experience? You betcha!

I feel like it's hated only cuz it's not another Dishonored. Boo-hoo.

I just think major brands are wrongly capitalizing on what it means to be LGBTQIA. There's so much other more positive media that better represents the community, including Steven Universe, FX's Pose, and Hazbin Hotel.

I just feel the nonbinary/neutral potato-head toys are a tasteless means of a cash cow. Almost the same thing with how Doug TenNapel was pissed over Earthworm Jim praising trans people in a vid promoting the animated series from the 90s' reboot.

TenNapel is one of geek culture's few notable conservative names, and I disagree with him on all his bigoted stances. But the fact a character of his was used for political clout was inappropriate. There's so much else that can be done for REAL progress! Cancel billionaires! Approve Medicare For All! Pass universal gun background checks! Approve of non-painful euthanasia for the severely developmentally sick! Put more infrastructure into fighting climate change! Put laws in place to protect everyone in a way Republicans won't roll back on them!

All I'm saying is there's far more my ideology needs to focus on for evolutionary change. Bad enough people think anarchist = arsonist.
