Reviews in progress... reviewer diaries? Maybe I don't peruse video game sites as much as I used to... but what is this crap? Why not just a review... when it's ready?
@Barighm: Yes. I own it. Combat is fun, for the most part. It's the first game with a cover system that activates without a button push and works well, in my opinion anyway. The exploration is fun and the planets are cool. I like the graphics, facial animations aside. There are good things about the game, but the writing (not necessarily the story) is terrible. The basic concept of the story is good, but they mishandled it horribly. This, combined with the fact that there are some good aspects, makes the game even worse in my mind. It's more of a huge disappointment than anything because with the good aspects you can see how good this could have been with more time and a competent writing staff. I expect more from Bioware... well, not so much anymore, but a foolish part of me still holds onto hope that they'll make something good again.
Edit: As far as combat goes, I really wish they kept the pause and play thing though, where you could issue commands and such before getting back into the fight.
Jesus Christ... this feels like the age of being offended, just for the sake of being offended. One person bitches about something that isn't inline with their personal tastes and they feel obligated to change the world based on what offends them. Fucking gross.
@dmblum1799: Yeah, I'd get it for 20. But it has huge problems. People complain about the SJW stuff (which exists to an extent) and bad facial animations, but the largest problem is the writing. At least in my opinion. In some games, story and writing don't matter much, but this is mass effect for Christ sake... writing matters.
