@Lhomity @WoodenStick Games should be reviewed by people who can give it the most fair review possible by admitting where the game has it's faults and where it shines and try to give a review that would benefit fans of a series or genre and people that aren't fans of the series or genre. However, it is nice to see many different reviews from both sides of the fence.
@SirSlimyScrotum Personally, I've never been a fan of pewdiepie. I've seen his stuff before and never understood why he gets millions of viewers. It makes me wonder what his core audience is
I think anyone of these devices could replace the way ho we play games, it's really about whether or not developers want to try and if they can actually make games that would use these devices to their full potential.
Maybe another reason the Wii U has been a flop so far is because there was no competition when it was released. One thing that I believe that helps drive sales is drama, or competition. Wii U was released and there was barely any urge to go out and buy one, while Sony's and Microsoft's consoles were both flying off the shelves. (the launch titles aren't too much a factor in this since all the systems release games, while some were good, weren't really that amazing) Microsoft and Sony had constant coverage and hype for months before their consoles were released because of everyone picking sides and then fighting with each other over which console is best. The Wii U had none of this, it gave no reason for people to care about it, it just felt like an unnecessary upgrade or attachment for the Wii that you had to pay hundreds of dollars to get. This would also make the system to continue to do bad since a lot of people don't have it then other people don't feel that much of a need to get it
It's definitely better than the first kinect, but I was never interested in shouting at my TV until it finally gets the command right. I guess other people are into that sort of thing, but personally I'd much rather use a controller.
i think GS reviews could be good, its just that it seems that all the reviewers they have tend to have very different view points and only focus on their specific way of thinking and ignoring any kind of person that might have a different view point when making the reviews. Then the reviews rarely reflect more than one opinion and only represents how a few people feel about the game. I'm not saying reviewers can't have their own opinions or that they shouldn't show their opinions some where in their reviews but they should make their reviews with more than just themselves in mind to give a fair review.
Then again, that would actually require the viewer to read the article which many people don't do already, oh well.
