I've been out of the loop about PC hardware for a while now, so I really need some help on purchasing a Desktop computer for college. Just some Q's I have...
XP or Vista?
Is 1gb of RAM still standard?
Graphics card is not important at all, just some integrated stuff should do fine.
Just go ahead and throw out your ideas guys, and I'd really appreciate it.
If money is absolutely no object as you say, then just go to town and get yourself a QX**** processor and two 8800Ultras in SLI.
However, if you don't have a couple thousand dollars to spend, get an 8800GT and either a Core 2 Duo or Quad depending on how much you can spend.

360 has accomplished creating a great game library and online community.
Thats great, too bad its not showing any results.
:| Results? Is kicking the PPS3's ass all over the place not enough?
