I bought both of them this week. Crysis has definitely gotten a lot more play time from me.

Maybe installing the latest drivers would help?

I have 2 36GB Raptors in raid 0, and I can honestly say they're not fast enough to warrant the noise/heat they produce. It's arguably just a myth that raid 0 is even any faster than a single drive. From my personal experiences I've never noticed a performance increase from running two drives in raid 0 as opposed to running them separately. The newer 500GB are less than $150 and will give you good enough performance.

X1950XTX>X1950XT>X1950Pro

The XTX is going to be faster than the XT. I'd just go for a X1950XT, it's really the best performing card in that range.

Looks like the X1950XT is going for like $170 open-box, otherwise it's about $230-250. The variations are a 256mb card and a 512mb version. Obviously you'd want to go for the 512mb. But in my opinion you should really shell out little bit of extra cash and get an 8800GTS. The 320mb versions about $270, but I've heard of people finding them for like $250.

Just some benchmarks-

You should just wait until June. Prices are going to have dropped considerably on components that are out right now.

[QUOTE="roosterboy_08"]I just put $250 down for the console at Gamestop, and I'll just pay the rest off when it comes out...I'm not too worried about it. I'm not going to enjoy shelling out $60 for games though :|Zcrimson07

whats wrong with $60? its only 10 more than u pay now u just have to work a little harder for it

Well I'm 15...I don't really work for any of this money to start with...Why in the world would you not want to pay $50 for games, rather than $60...:| That really makes no sense, and I never said that I wasn't going to pay it :|.

Ok, well It cause multiple problems and i decided that I would play with it some other time. Also, should it use 100% of CPU? BTW my computer started making a wierd noise after it froze and then crashed, and the icon would not show up in the system tray.
