@sebbysebbseb I wouldn't call it advertising the game since most of that ad revenue generated from those videos do not go back to Nintendo. It is also not out of the question that most people who watch an entire game campaign streamed on Twitch would have no reason to fork up the money themselves to buy those games since they've essentially seen [experienced] everything they need to see. Plenty of my friends have gone and watched Let's Play videos of The Last of Us and Grand Theft Auto V, finding no reason to buy those games anymore. On top of that, Twitch streamers instead gain those revenues, with some of the most popular ones like PewDiePie and GoldGloveTV making six figures a year streaming single player games for others to watch. Sure, they're entertaining, but that entertainment wouldn't exist without the video game to make commentary on, so shouldn't it be fair that some of that revenue goes to the developers? Maybe Nintendo's ad revenue ratio might be more than necessary, but they shouldn't be condemned for asking.

@g0ldenpr0pet As someone that doesn't play this game, it seems like the issues affect both next gen consoles equally. I mean, refunding the Premium membership for XBOX One users seems like a big enough deal. Just seems like a hardware awareness issue since they're both new and could just be a port of the PC version that didn't play nearly as nicely on the new systems as DICE would've hope (although I am entirely speculating here).

@dummpymonkey123 @rockstar_88 Non-existent loading times, cloud integration, third-party tablet functionality, brag clip sharing, real live streaming of your games to your friends, and a much more unified social system seem like a lot better concepts than a 'gamepad' that even went BACK in time by including digital triggers rather than analog and "Miiverse."

@dummpymonkey123 When the Wii U is running on 2.4 Ghz WiFi instead of the faster 5 Ghz WiFi that even the PS3 had at launch, the Wii U uses even older tech than the PS4 and X1, so arguably the Wii U isn't using next gen tech. The PS4 and X1 also have no loading times because of all the power beneath the hood, while the Wii U continues to struggle to load something as simple as Miiverse.

@dummpymonkey123 @GOGOHeadray It was not Nintendo that said this but actually Sony. They believed the Wii was a companion piece to the other two consoles, with generally was true since the Wii was in a lot more households than the 360 or PS3. It's not bad logic but not necessarily one Nintendo envisioned their flagship console would be.

I hope this trend of removing the Wii U off retail shelves continues. Nintendo needs a serious wake up call to stop relying on nothing but nostalgia to get by. Nostalgia worked about six years ago, but now it's time they get with the modern age and embrace new concepts brought about by other companies. They're not the innovators they once were.

@Snakepond1 My bets are on Sony. I'm normally not superstitious but I'm pretty sure Microsoft is going to suffer from the "third console curse", just as every other company has. Sega with its Saturn, Nintendo with its N64, and Sony with its Playstation 3. Those consoles caused financial hardship for their respective companies, it's only a matter of time that Microsoft has the same fate with the One. It's how they deal with the aftermath that will determine if their success in the follow generation.

Jesus, Nintendo, why can't you just come out with a new IP already?! You've exhausted all your other Nintendo properties you have to dig for someone else's to reap those nostalgia benefits?
