Yeah I been following the translation project for a year. I have completed Policenauts a few times (Japanese is a bit rusty), and can tell you has indeed has a solid story, althought to be honest the story isn't as great as Snatcher. A lot of the characters aren't as lovable as the one in Snatcher. There no fun riddles like in Snatcher which is bad and the bomb defusing part is a royal pain. The point and click style game play makes interaction with item a little frustrating because its not always obvious whats need to be done. Its not good as Snatcher, but if liked Snatcher then it worthwhile to play Policenauts. Policenauts has no connections to the Snatcher story, its a new universe, but there are some references to Snatcher in the game. Like Jamie Seed can be seen in one scene, but its just an easter egg.
