It's basically the same system used to discover IV's on the main series - you talk to a NPC, and you infer the IV according to the adjective and excitement present on the description.
Overwatch is a great game overall. The graphics are light and beautiful, the gameplay is the smoothest I've ever seen on its genre, and the characters overflow with personality.
On the other hand, it could have a lot more content for its price. What's the point in having such a rich lore and create this amazing cast of characters if you're not going to tell anything about the game's story? I mean... Except for Winston, Widowmaker and Tracer, which appeared on the promotional trailers, there is ZERO information about the other characters. Who is Roadhog? What does he fight for in Overwatch? Which side is he on? (*I know there are comics and other media, but I am talking about "in game" content)
They could've made short story missions for each character, that would allow you to test and know the characters.
Hell... They could've used the same maps and objectives from the Multiplayer, just inside a story context, and I would be 'ok' with that.
Unfortunately, this game follows the same trail that Street Fighter V and many others are paving: games that are extremely focused on one purpose, and that requires you to be playing competitively against other players all the time.
I feel really tempted to buy this game, I loved playing it, but I feel like buying it equals to supporting this kind of half-baked released game.
GTA Online is a great game. One of the most immersive (if not the most) experiences I've ever had.
The major problem with the Online is that it is COMPLETELY INFESTED by hackers. There is not a single time I login without being annoyed by thousand tanks being spawned over my head. I have to switch to another server, but it is a pain in the ass and it hinders the game's credibility.
@HIT3kNology Yeah... It really spoils the feeling of wonder and discovery. I wish I could erase all my World of Warcraft knowledge so I could play it again with naive eyes.
One thing that scares new players is the fact that they have to buy 4 Expansion Packs to fully play the game. Who cares about Wrath of the Lich King or Cataclysm nowadays?? Just turn everything into a single economic package, and WoW will keep it's reign for years to come.
