Here's the problem though: every online multiplayer game needs a private match/bot match capability equal to the PvP modes from the start. A lot of people want to play the game, but not against other people for various reasons. Accessibility is supposed to be a big deal, but developers and even the community are the biggest opposition to that. How someone plays THEIR game is irrelevant to anyone else. In many cases, playing against bots is much more difficult than real players, with the bonus of no toxicity, cheating, or afk.Coalition Studio just fixed this very issue with Gears 5, after making 2 highly anti-consumer products before it. For those who think bot matches ruins online matches... No it doesn't. Gears (Epic) pretty much always had it and a healthy population, Halo too. Those who will play competitive, will, those who can play privately will or won't play at all, the competitive scene is never affected.Pro-consumer accessibility options should never be an argument, and giving players an equal representation offline as available online is not up for debate. XP, content, achievements/trophies should all be earnable in private lobbies, this eliminates boosting in social lobbies, dropping out halfway through matches, and creates a better experience for both PvP and PvE fans. There is literally no person with a good brain who can be against this. The Sea of Thieves community is, but I said 'with a good brain'... They've all shown they're toxic morons.
