Mine suck so bad after reading about all the old classics.. i wish I still had my old systems.

If we add in Emulators then I gotta say Twin Cobra. I had the new systems in mind, but this is good.. going back to the old days.

I am hoping Off-Topic Discussion is a place I can actually write my thoughts on something without being banned.

I was reading the discussion board about MLB 09 The Show and MLB 2K9 when I saw a user had made a comment about the fact there was no review for MLB 09 up yet. He said something about going to other sites to read reviews because he could not find one here. On of the writers for Gamespot who goes by BrianEk, responded by saying that they like to take their time to get the reviews accurate. Use servers that the public are using and actually delve into the game to give an accurate review rather than basing it off private servers and pre release copies of the games. Its a great excuse, if you believe it.

After reading the response by the Gamespot employee, I responded directly too him with my opinion on the situation. I merely suggested that it was an awkward excuse when you look at it from a business point of view. This industry is largely about who can bring you the news first. Gamers just wanna read what you have to say about something so they can make up their mind about buying a game. So to be a week behind every other game site out there (Tomorrow will be one week and they still do not have a review up) is not good business. It forces anyone who came here looking for a review on a game that is in stores, to go to another site.

I think this is logical. I dont think its a terrible thing to point out. I dont think it was off topic since the guy who wrote the story himself brought it up. Yet my logical post that many people would probably have read and agreed with, which one user did, but it was deleted along with my own post, will not be able to now. So I will say it here in the Off-Topic Discussion board in hopes I don't get pigeon holed again. It seems like when you have something intelligent to say, but it may not go over well with the powers that be at the site, they censor you. I didn't attack anyone, I didn't insult anyone, and I didn't curse and swear. I simply questioned the response given by a gamespot writer when he was asked about the lateness of the reviews on this site. I was deleted.

So, here it is. Has anyone found themselves going to another gaming site because you stopped by Gamespot to read a review and they simply didn't have one available? I know I have. MANY times. It is in fact a rare occurence that they beat anyone to the punch with a review. To not be first is fine. To be a week after release on a major title?? Inexcusable.

They tried to say they were 3 weeks behind everyone else with their Killzone 2 review because they wanted to test the final product on public servers and test the levelling up aspect as to give us a full review of all the features, unlike the other sites who posted their reviews 3 weeks before the game was even available. Only.... they had their review up the day the game came out. Certainly not giving them enough time to test it on public servers and play long enough to give an accurate review. A lie.

I don't know why they are so slow here with reviews. IGN handles games, movies, comics, even the actors in the movies, babes, tv... yet they have reviews up when games come out.. when movies come out... So I ask.. Why does a site like Gamespot have such a hard time keeping up?

I recently received a warning about a post and personally I am not sure why. I read the post again, and there is nothing offensive in it. I want to know why this post, which did nothing but comment on my experiance with a game company, and only had reasonable responses without causing any flame wars, was deleted and I in turn was reprimanded for it.

I know some of you will have had far worse experiences that me, and I know alot of you will say "stop whining". Unfortunately for those of you who choose to go that rout, you are either stuck hearing about it, or you can go away now....

I am now on my fourth 360 console (this is the part that I am sure alot of you are worse off). I had my third console die at the end of November. So I go through the motions of sending it in. Being my third time and having bought a PS3 since my last broken 360, I was more prepared for the long wait and hassle with Xbox staff. It went well. Today however, I was looking over my 360 and discovered that they sent me a refurb with a manufacturing date of 2006. Its now 2009. This console that was sent to me is over 2 years old, well over. I have gone through 3 garbage systems and what do I get for my patience and trouble? A two year old refurb.

I call and tell them I want a newer system sent to me. They wont do this. I tell them that this is the 4th machine, and I want something done since they keep sending me machines that fail. I even waste my time, and theirs, by telling them I am still using my first PS3 (more of a shot than useful information). They dont care. They tell me the machine I got will work. Well, of course it will, till I get the 3 red rings again. for the fourth time. Then what? I have no more warrenty. I have a crappy system, what do I do then.

So basically. I continue to get lemon machines from them each time I send my Xbox in for repairs and now I am even getting 2 year old machines back from them. Its terrible the way they brush off your concerns. I know I am only one of millions who have bought a 360 and in the eyes of big corporations, I am insignificant, but come on. Show your customers who have suffered through multiple broke consoles that you are sorry for selling junk. Send them a new machine. A machine made with upgraded parts, so they hopefully dont have to go through this process every year, and sometimes twice. Its terrible that they sell a machine with such a high failure rate and then do nothing for you when your machine inevitably fails...

So yeah... just wanted to get this off my chest... I am sick of Microsoft sending me old a** crap off their dusty shelves. You shipped me 3 broken systems.. atleast try and send me something that MIGHT last...

God its funny listening to kids try and talk educatedly about this. Most of the posts I read are hilarious. 1080i and 1080p are the same but 480i and 720p are crap??? Thats hilarious.

Why do people always try and pretend they know sh*t they dont?? Props to those who wrote intelligent responses, but to all you other idiots.. Shut up.. go play and leave the tech questions to people with half a clue.

One stop shop and they sound terrific.. If you wanna go to a dozen different places to get a surround sound system, be my guest, but for just over $250 the Logitechs are wonderful.

Problem I am having is that when I have my ps3 set to linear PCM, my blu rays will not play in Dolby Digital. My games however will. When I change it to Bitstream, my movies once again show up in Dolby Digital....

Now I heard that Linear PCM is better.. but as I said, if I use it with Blu Rays, it only plays in Pro Logic II...

Anyone know why this is?
