What everyone above me said pretty much..particularly Animal Crossing and SMTIV, both are pre-orders for me for sure.
New Leaf I've been waiting on ever since the announcement of 3DS launch titles.

Mario and Luigi Dream Team, although I've yet to play 2 and 3, loved the 1st one back when I played in elementary school.
Full 3D in Pokemon X/Y has got me curious.
Ace Attorney 5 for sure and I one can only hope that Prof Layton v. Ace Attorney is localized...

I've just finished Max Payne 3 and thought it had a good story.About 12 hours and a seamless experience,no loading screens and a nice flow to the story that just kept me playing.

OneInchMan99

Just curious, should I play the first two games? I have them on Steam but I have this thing against force playing dated games just to understand their sequels.

Anyway, as for good stories, I recently just finished MGS 2 and 3 on the HD collection and they were superb. The story is intricate yet really convuluted...but so well done.
2 was good in the mind-****sense with all the conspiracy. 3 was more of an emotional rollercoaster. If that sounds interesting at all then you should cop the collection.
I think there was a leak for a collection with 4 MGS games+Peacewalker but it's not official yet. If you don't want to wait I'd definitely recommend watching or at least reading up on the first two Metal Gear games and watching the cutscenes for Twin Snakes(Gamecube remake of the first MGS)..there's a 5 hour or so long video on youtube. Quite long but the story in that one is pretty hard to pack into a wiki page, trust me, well worth the investment if you want to get into the series.

Going to be a VERY good JRPG

Samus3D

This^
I have high hopes for Atlus, especially when it comes to SMT since they've yet to release a dissapointing one.
Definitely a pre-order for me even at 50 bucks, and I've never pre-ordered anything.

But anyway, yes now would be a great time. The 3DS has already had a pretty good line-up and 2013 only made it better with games
like LM2: Dark Moon, Fire Emblem Awakening, Monster Hunter 3, Etrian Odyssey IV, and Soul Hackers(another good SMT game remade from a classic).
The announcements Nintendo recently made concerning 3DS releases gives you even more reason to buy one now.
Personally I'm looking forward to Animal Crossing the most. But definitely a lot of first party titles coming our way.

Be on the lookout for sales on 3DS XL's. I bought mines for 160 no tax free shipping from goHastings. Places like Target had the same price tag around the same time.

They are constantly evolving alongside each other but what if graphics became so good that they couldn't get any better?
Like photorealistic good? What would happen to the video card market upon the creation of games that had such graphics?
Would the pace at which companies churned out new technology for gfx cards slow dramatically?(at least for computer based games), or continue
like it is now? And do you see such a thing happening let's say...within the next 6 years?
Now I'm definitely no expert on PC hardware and such and this is just something I've been somewhat curious about. Not trying to argue or anything.

I know that feel. Except I only spent 192 games..which is still a lot.
I'm jobless at the moment and even though my parents gave me more than enough to last the semester in terms of personal spending, the rate at which my bank account numbers are dropping is a bit startling. What really scares me is food though, I think I'm doing okay eating 5-6 dollar meals everyday and the 7-8 every now and then but that **** accumulates like crazy. And not to mention rent, cable, food shopping expenses...makes me wonder how I'll survive once I graduate.

Thanks for the advice guys.

Would you say the resolution of the monitor makes a big difference?
And is there any method to get an OS for cheap? Or even free?

I own a PS3 and a gaming laptop from 3 years back(Gateway FX) and these are my two primary systems, with the exception of the DS.
I've always held an interest in building my own rig but never had the money to do it. I'm a college student seeking a job and I'm thinking of going for a tight budget build once I save up enough money.

What do you guys recommend? Is it possible to build something good 600-700 or under?
I know AMD processors are significantly cheaper than Intel, so that'll probably be my choice of processor.
I feel like I could cheap out on a GPU and just get something passable until later on since I feel like those are easily replaceable.
Motherboard I don't know if people have strong specific preferences for a certain brand/price range but I'm assuming AMD compatible ones are cheaper generally?
How important are monitors? Would you recommend gaming on 30+ inch LCD TV's or just going for normal ones? I assume resolution should be the highest possible. A lot of current games are playable on high on my laptop but I think it's due to it's 1440x900 res(Dishonorable, Darksiders 2, Darkness II), but I'd imagine they would look much nicer on 1920x1200.

Great list there! Might add some my own suggestions later on.
When do you think you're going to update it again?
