I don't know why developers insist on forcing this teleportation locomotion. Is it necessary as an option for those who cant tolerate traditional movement? Yes, absolutely. Is it reasonable to force on everyone who wishes to play the game? Absolutely not!
I can tolerate movement in VR just fine. When I first got into it, I did get some minor motion sickness. But, the body does adjust and after some time in VR motion sickness is virtually non-existent.
I am so happy that they decided to support SLI. As the release date grows closer, the possibility of upgrading my old GTX 690 becomes less and less likely. Thankfully, this card still rocks SLI enables games pretty hard, so I can hold off the upgrade for a while longer!
Interesting food for thought, there is already an officially licensed by Sony mouse and keyboard setup that works with all games right out of the box. The fact that Sony licensed this product clearly shows their stance on the issue. What are your thoughts?
@smokerob79: Oh shoot, yes, I did miss the part with the 4k screens that wrap around our eyes inside the headset that have eye tracking to only focus the parts we are looking at. This will DEFINITELY bypass the physiological inability to comfortably focus on anything closer to our eye than 25cm and render the lens absolete. Oh yeah, and in case you didn't know, /sarcasm.
@smokerob79: This is a great, uhh, dream, I guess. But are you serious? There is so much ignorance regarding how VR works in this post that it is hard to comprehend the mental capacity of the person who wrote it. Without even pointing out the other stuff, explain to me how we can just do "without the focus lens"? Have you ever tried focusing on anything an inch from your face?
I don't see this getting more than a 6/10. It's appears to be nothing more than an over hyped shell of any indy game using tech dating back to at least the first Diablo and maybe even further.
