Will the upcoming corrupted save files-patch fix those files or do we have to start all over again anyway?

If you haven't finished the game, this may contain spoilers for you!

I have a problem: I finished the game by killing Trevor.

The mission came as a surprise to me.

I couldn't save the game, when I had to make a choice on my mobile. Now the game is over and I was supposed to finish some side-missions. But Trevor is missing.

Why the hell isn't he playable, when the story is over anyway?? Is there a way to get him back, other than loading an old savepoint?

Same here on Xbox 360. The game is out for more than three weeks and the problem is known to developer Crytek, but they just won't fix it. That's already bordering on impudence!

Which game of 2010 do you consider good for a Xmas-present for kids up to 12 - 14 years old?

Those little pictures you unlock for achievements are really a waste if the player doesn't have more options to use them.

Sometimes they're small pieces of art. Would be great to use them as stickers for the main-menue or your avatar.

What do you think? Any more ideas?

Does anybody know if the inventor of Microsofts Achievements is known by name?

I mean: There has to be somebody, who got the idea of implementing an ongoing gamerscore-system.

I wonder why his or hers name isn't public.

It would be interesting to hear how he got the idea, what he's thinking of it now and how it could develope.

Is there a way to get information about the latest Xbox Live Charts? Like detailed player-numbers or at least a Top-100?

I want to know, if there are still some people playing games like "Lost Planet Colonies" or "Project Gotham Racing 4" and how long you have to wait for a match.

With every game there is always atleast one trophy that is plain stupid, and it really sucks because to get most platinums ou need to get them all. I dont really care too much about trophies anymore.nikolai37

Yeah, you're right: If you really like a game, your highest goal should be the platinum trophy. And if the developer thinks it's funny to add one or two totally extreme or plain stupid trophies, you begin to loose motivation in collecting trophies at all. It's a thin line.

Otherwise: Golden trophies are great, too, and wait till Sony gives you something for your trophies. Like maybe some nice furniture in HOME or even points to collect for some downloadable game-content. Then your weak motivation maybe gets stronger. ;)

I like those level-finish-achievements.

Though, as you said, they shouldn't be the only ones.

I really like the implementation of Achievements and Trophies.

What I hate though is, that some developers think it's funny to implement some that are almost impossible for regular gamers to accomplish.

I don't know how long it takes to finish the new Prince of Persia. But I don't think, it takes less than 12 hours ("Finish the game in under 12 hours"), if you really want to enjoy the visuals and the fascinating level-design. So I guess you have to play through at least two times. And how frustrating would it be, if you'd take 12 hours and 5 minutes to play through?!

I mean: Achievements / trophies don't have to be easy to get.

They have to be challenging, but do they have to put time-pressure on you? That's where the fun of a game stops.

This is just one quiete harmless example for annoying achievements / trophies.

Do you guys think the same about this?

What achievements / trophies do you hate?
