@laylax MGS4 was great but i'd take MGS1 over it. I'd like a game that isn't centered on BB, again. I'm excited though. I'd love a Liquid Snake game (and i'm not talking about the idiotic Liquid Ocelot).
I'm stuck on getting it on PS3 or 4 because i never buy systems at launch. Ugh...
@SolidSnakeX24 Ha! I'm with you man. I'm really excited as we get close to visualizing Outer Heaven. I gave Assassin's Creed a shot but i don't really like the gameplay for some reason. (Although i have watched all the cutscenes on youtube just to see the story progression.)
You're down with Mantis, huh? Great choice as his boss battle still makes me smile. I would love to get a game dedicated on Liquid's rise (w/ Cam Clarke's voice) to be "chosen" by Big Boss, adventures with a young Solid Snake (my fav), and the story of Sunny's rescue by Raiden (what Rising was supposed to be centered on before Kojima contacted Platinum for assistance and changed the story). It is a great franchise to follow, even with its small warts. My favorite ever!
@SolidSnakeX24 I agree, bud. There is no other series that gets me as pumped for a release. I like what Naughty Dog has built with the Uncharted franchise (i own the collection), the Batman: Arkham Series is my #2 behind MG - and i hope more games are released to build up Spec Ops: The Line (WONDERFUL gaming experience) but nothing resonates with me like Metal Gear. I need a story in my games.
@analogjunkie24 @Saint_Kaiser You do have an opinion, analog, but you have to be aware of the fans of this series. If the game - and its story - isn't your cup of tea, that's fine but you have to take stock of the comment thread you are currently on. There were times that the story in MGS4 made me want to scream (especially the fact that Big Boss was alive - with Solidus' body mind you - and the Liquid Ocelot manifestation) but ultimately it's my favorite game on PS3 and i place it as #2 in the entire series with MGS taking the top spot. I love the story element because it's outside the norms of re-spawns, air strikes and flag capturing. You should give the series a real chance...you might like it.
One of my best friends cannot get a handle on the gameplay mechanics but when i play the game, he'll watch as if it's a movie. I play the game feeling the exact same way.
@GunEye @reagan3 I'm with you, bud. Solid Snake is my favorite character and Big Boss' story is fantastic but i'd like to see (young) Solid or Liquid in the spotlight. I've always wanted a game told from Liquid's point of view as he rose to be "chosen" by Big Boss. This game is going to kill, though!
I know this section might melt over what i'm going to say but i'd rather have MGS5 with SOLID Snake as the main character (or even Liquid Snake; not the Ocelot amalgamation). This game will be added to my collection...no doubt but i'd rather have Big Boss sit this one out.
