@razorfett147 My thoughts exactly.

EDIT: possibly a KOTOR 3, too.

I can't imagine that Microsoft is so out of touch that they would honestly think consumers would be on board with this...are they?

I would buy this 100% if it wasn't an MGS game we were talking about here. I'm inclined to think he means he's not playing "Snake" per se, like the character has been fundamentally changed or been altered or whatever. That would be 100% believable--the series has been basically made of retcons since MGS3.

And after I spent all that time building up Mother Base and stopping Peace Walker, it just gets destroyed anyway...oh well.

I do like how despite everyone knowing that The Phantom Pain was an MGS thing all along, I'm still kind of surprised as to exactly HOW it related.

@Nexrad I "heard" that by actually reading the article above. I know though, I am a terrible person for playing video games on a console.

Great, not for ps4/720, so it's pretty safe to assume we're still 12v12 on console. How is this a step forward again?

@jgrigs09 And consoles have had parental controls since at least the ps2/xbox days. If anything, maybe console makers could make that a bit more clear to consumers? But still, I think it's just part of a mindset that older folks tend to have: that video games are toys for children, and that they're only directed towards children.

Of course some games are...but so are some films, some books, some music, etc. It's not like people getting upset about an ultra-violent novel because it's in the same store as the picture books about how to cope when your goldfish dies.

Doesn't a suicide take away from your kill count in pretty much every deathmatch game?

@DaWarthog Oh, grow up. There's not a publisher in the world that isn't concerned primarily with the bottom line. And every company does have shareholders--they're just not always publicly-traded. Please learn a few things about commerce.
