In the game Wildstar there was a huge problem with mining bots in several zones. You'd find a harvesting/mining node but by the time you get there a bot would teleport in, mine the node in less than half the time it takes a normal player and moved on to the next. In some zones it was impossible to get any kind of mining/harvesting done.

The Wildstar devs were pretty studious about banning bot accounts, even if a lot of players complained it wasn't happening fast enough, but when I finally left the game, a lot of the problems were fairly under control to where you could get to mining points with little issue.

If Microsoft is stupid enough to actually pull this, they'll have handed a huge advantage to Sony on a silver platter. I know I will not support a console that limits my options. Of course they'll likely have some option to enable used games "for a small fee". I'll get a PS4 before getting a game-limiting 720.
