you are all less qualified than either legitimate scientists or lobbyists for the coal industry.

the only thing remotely noteworthy about this is how long this has taken. of course it was some Chechnyan terrorists, probably women, like most of those attacks are. also, to all you saying they're no better than al Queda, have you ever heard the word "separatism"?

solitary confinement is one of the worst things you can do to a person and the US penitentiary system employs it routinely. if you want to break a person, leave them alone in a room for months with nothing.

I really like Star Wars, but only the first three movies. none of the books, none of the new movies. period. I love LOTR, including the Simarilion and the books (all of which are beautifully written). I went to chess camp for like three summers in a row. I now play starcraft for maybe like three hours a day. I also read a lot in general. However, I'm in a fraternity, I have a steady girlfriend, and I'm extremely social in general. I go to a party and say hi loudly to everyone and have a good time. so I have nerdy interests but not really nerdy mannerisms (aside from occasionally locking myself off from the world for days at a time to read or play video games).

[QUOTE="Rckstrchik"]

I say that it's fine if government could find a way to regulate it. Otherwise, ten year olds could get a hold of it and people would be driving or working while they are high.

GabuEx

If only there were drugs that today were legal to purchase yet regulated that could serve as a model by which it could be regulated... :P

yeah seriously. why is our regulatory system so awful? it makes no sense.

I don't know if you've ever dealt with anyone who sells marijuana but in my limited experience, they usually do so only so that they can smoke more. if weed becomes cheaper (and legal) I think they'll probably just collect unemployment and keep puffing away without much concern. most dealers would freak the hell out at the first sign of harder drugs (excluding low class psychadelics like shrooms or something). equating pot dealers with crack dealers is just not true and clearly not based on anything approaching personal experience.

[QUOTE="sSubZerOo"]

[QUOTE="racer8dan"]Exactly the point.

We don't discuss those.. So when we mean absolute fact.. Its the closest we will ever get to understanding.. Your playing with semantics now.

The only real fact is, we will never know all the facts.

do you really think that philosophers are arguing amongst themselves and think of that and say 'oh well we'll never know anything'?

[QUOTE="racer8dan"]It's probable, but not absolute fact. Anything is possible regarding the origin of the universe, seeing as how it's outside of our minds comprehesion.

racer8dan

Its not absolute fact that you even exist, or any of you here.. You may all be a figment of my imagination.. You can see how pointless this kind of thought process is when it comes to any debate.. For all I know I never existed yesterday and I could have been created today and everything before was just memories implanted into my brain.. I can never know.

Exactly the point.

so you're basing your argument on the filmography of Christoper Nolan? sounds rock solid to me

you can't ask her out during your first date.that's like, I mean, she's already there, with you, on a date.
