@daneyul: They did warn people, what else can they do, visit each home owning a copy of the game individually and explain that you may encounter a bug?

If they put a notice in game, they risk breaking something else. There are no load screens, so that's out too. It would be a "Dick move," If they say and do nothing and that's not the case.

@mentalrevolt: Be kinder to your ammo and bathe, they don't like stinky Arthurs.

The first real bug I've encountered so far is some of my ammo and weapons disappearing. My Varmint Rifle was emptied, Improved Arrows missing, my alternative Tomahawks went offski as both Improved and Homing just about had enough of me for some reason. Did I not bathe often enough, did I trigger and offend them, I never even realised they were sentient!?

Well, apparently, when you do missions where you have to hand over your weapons, once you get them back, these items are just missing. It's extremely annoying but I still wonder if I should bathe and be nicer to my tools of the trade, just in case.

@santinegrete: It is very unlikely. RDR Online will be out soon and their efforts will likely be focused on that, rather than a single player expansion.

It's a damn shame as I am not even slightly interested in the online portion from the small details I know of.

@xemnas1997: Lol, yeah, that was brilliant and unexpected. It was something I wanted to leave for people to discover when visiting, which is why I never mentioned it but you covered it up, so no harm was done except to those who hate to see spoiler blocks and will click on it no matter what. Lol

Now those who have read all of this will expect something amazing when they go there and just be disappointed. Which brings me back to what I said earlier, these little things are best left to discover for yourself.

@Vodoo: Aye, those are fair points. I wish you had just said that in the first place. The hunting mechanics, as in the perfect pelts only you mentioned, was a pain in the arse too, to begin with, however, through a lot of trial and error, I have come to appreciate those mechanics.

Hunting isn't all that enjoyable in the early stages of this game but when you do get a perfect pelt, when you have learned what is required of you it really feels like you have worked for it and it is extremely satisfying. It reminds me of the rewarding feeling you got when defeating an enemy in Dark Souls, if you follow me?

I don't disagree with much of what you have said in your last reply. I think the lack of a more traditional fast travel is a slightly annoying attempt to ensure you stumble across (even if not stumbling) many of the side missions/random encounters (even if not random). If I do not wish to be distracted between my starting point and my destination, I put the waypoint on and the cinematic camera. Only being able to fast travel from the camp is irritating but I get it.

I don't see the game overall as being more of a pain but just something that requires more advanced planning.

I don't know but are you perhaps playing this one with the last game's mindset? I sort of was myself, at first. Many of what you said, I had found mildly annoying until I understood its purpose.

None of this has ruined the game for me, it still far outweighs in the pro side of the table than it does in the cons. I'm still only at the beginning of Chapter 3 though, so maybe I will get more annoyed as time goes on. So far though, I am loving it.

Give it another chance, prepare yourself and change your approach. I think you may see some new love for the way they have set the game out for you.

@rbogaert2208: Aye, same here, mate. I don't look up those quick tip guides or that. A lot of the time a pleasant surprise is ruined for you unintentionally.

Like my trip to the theatre in Saint-Denis:

DO NOT READ THIS IF YOU HAVEN'T BEEN THERE YET:

I went in, not sure what to expect and left 10 minutes later, having sore cheeks from laughing. Not that the acts were funny, it was my controlling of Arthur and having him antagonise the acts that had me in stitches.

Maybe it was the mood I was in but it found it really funny but if I had known about it ahead of time, perhaps it wouldn't have been.

@Vodoo: "What does the gold glitch have to do with how shitty the game plays?" Nothing, I never even implied that it did. Also, I don't think the game plays shitty at all. As I said, I have my issues with the game too, one of which is some minor aspects with the controls but the pros far outweigh the cons.

If my post doesn't reflect you, well, okay then, it wasn't you I was talking about, was it? So why are you responding to me with this strawman?

"Even if you're out in the wilderness with no one around and you rob somebody, you will get a crime reported somehow." This has not happened to me. I have robbed a good few places and I have not had the law called on unless I had been seen. Lol, I thought you didn't like realism, so this shouldn't bother you. JK

We get a game like this once in a generation these days. It is unique in what it does compared to other franchises and it is a different experience than most. Most of those who are doing the complaining seem to want the game to be something they are more familiar with... As if we need more of that.

I have had a bounty on me from Valentine since I robbed the Doctors office and went on a killing spree. Not what I'd call boy-scouting but I do get your point, I just disagree.

From what you have said... It really sounds like you are not taking your time with the game and have skipped the small learning curve of all the game's mechanics. I don't know.

I've yet to encounter any game that lets you get away with rampaging murder sprees and not have it get tedious within the first hour. Oh, I am sure there will be some but I cannot think of any of note. Ironically, that is what sounds really fecking boring to me.

There are plenty of annual releases that will satisfy that digital bloodlust, I'm sure, I am just not sure why this one, in particular, has to be it?

Just try to enjoy it for what it is, not for what you want it to be, mate.

What about when you go take Lenny for a drink in Valentine? That was hilarious.

I am seeing a lot of complaints about the game being boring and most of those who are complaining are the ones who either tried to rush through it and haven't paid attention to the dialogue or it is those who have been spamming that gold glitch.

The game is awesome, while I do have my own gripes with some of the things Rockstar have done just for the sake of "Immersion," Overall the game is simply in a league of its own.

@Salt_AU: Exactly. Yet some seem to have some difficulty in understanding that they will ruin what should be a well-balanced experience. Do kids not understand the purpose of playing games now?

If they want to do it, fine, but they WILL regret it.

Some people think by pointing this out, makes you some do-gooder and to those people, I say, if that is their attitude, they again, misunderstand me, I don't want them not to do it, I WANT them to ruin their game, so go right ahead, idiots.
