So, after trying to take advantage of Gamestop's recent "trade every 4 360/wii/ps3 games get extra $20" deal. I traded in 12 total games of 360/wii. Got 94 bucks. Lol.

I'm gonna use that to preorder and purcahse both CODMW2, and ACII. But then i discovered Goozex, where your games get much more value. You trade games for points - virtual money - worth a lot more than gamestop will ever give you - and use those poinst simple to get more games. It's a great system really, although it has flaws.

Anyway, I just started Goozex, and have a grand total of 850 points.

I want Dragonball Z Raging Blast when it comes out. That's 1000 points.

I could save for that and wait for that, because I dont really wanna spend real money on it, or I could use the points i got from old games for more old games.

Here's some games i was considering:
Sonic The Hedgehog (06) - 100 pts.
Sonic Unleashed - 400 pts
Saints Row 2 - 600
Web of Shadows - 500
Force Unleashed sith edition - 400
Test Drive Unlimited - 150
Quantum of Solace - 400
NFS Hot Pursuit 2 - 100.

Now, those are just some I could think of, but i feel like theres so many more out there. I def want STFU Sith edition, but id consider spending real money on it.
BTW 100 pts ~ $5.
So games that are 100 pts, that i could find on amazon or something for 5 or under, idk if i wanna spend my goozex pts on.
I like FPS, Racing, Adventure/Action, Platformer, etc.
Let me give u a list of games I have so you get an idea.

X360: Skate 2, DBZ: BL, GTA4, CODWaW, AC, NFS:MW, Forza 2, Fable 2, Oblivion, Soul Calibur IV, virtua fighter 5, genisis collection...

wii: LoZ TP, Super Mario Galaxy, MP3, SSBB, Mario Kart Wii

gcube: sonic adventure 1, 2 battle, sonic heroes, zelda WW, SSBM, super mario sunshine, mario party 4

You get the idea of what i like.

I really am interested in any ideas of great games that are already out that i could get my hands on.

I could get a few games worth less points each, or one or two games worth more.

Let's just talk about good games (preferably not brand new)

:)

hah.

but i think its cool.

no more news on the new zelda...its cool to talk then while we wait.

as far as story goes, i was always moved by the zelda stories.

i always felt proud to be link, the savior of hyrule, i know what i must do, ya know?

i don't think i want to see co-op in the next zelda.

i don't think it would be the extent of RE5, but in fact, more like tacked on such as in Super Mario Galaxy, where maybe one controls link and one controls his fairy or something lol.

But i would definitely love to see a return of musical instruments. They add so much magic to the game.

give us history on these places... let us know why the thing is here other

than "go get this" .... thats my 2 cents

kidmoogle

I completely agree.

I think one of the reasons OoT was so succesful was becuase you truly became a part of Hyrule. You knew what places were called, where they were, why they were there, who lived where, the history of the temples, the magic behind them, etc. I agree with you. in TP, everything was forced. I thought TP had a wonderful story, great cinematics, loveable characters, real emotions, etc. But the thing is, the actually dungeons were definitely very forced. Granted, the way TP worked was much faster than OoT. In OoT, you were explained from the get-go why you were doing everything, why everything is happening, and what is happening. In TP, the story just came out of no where, which i liked. I liked the fact that link, an innocent farmer was thrown into the middle of a war between realms, at first, it created a sense of thrill, not knowing whats coming next, everything happened so fast, no time for questions or explanations.

And that was great for the beginning, but by the time you got to Death Mountain, they really should've taken a step back and slowed down a bit, explained things more. I mean i thought the mystery behind Zant was awesome, the sudden twist, that was great, i actually didn't expect that at all. I originally expected Zant himself to be Ganondorf in desguise, because his coat is similar to the coat that ganondorf wears in the Wind Waker.

But yeah in the new zelda game, story should play a more important role than it did in TP.

In WW, the story was there, it was great, it was told very well too, and it had a strong role. All you felt was history, because of all the history under the ocean.

But in TP, not much there.

THe only time i felt a sense of history was when you were in the sacred grove and the temple of time was there, destroyed, covered in grasses and stuff. Then it's like, yeah man.

BTW...I think ALTTP, OoT, and TP are in one timeline, not in that order necessarily, in fact i think it's not in that order, and OoT, WW, PH are another timeline.

I think the split happens with OoT, it's obvious it does.

Heres how i think it works, and im goin off on a tangent here buts its cool....

1. OoT, ending, Link goes back in time to be able to live his childhood (MM), in this timeline, we don't know what happens to ganondorf or anything. We just know that link leaves hyrule. Because of this, Hyrule is covered in the ocean. Its explained in WW..."here of time left for another adventure" thats gotta be MM, or i guess it could be like links awakening or something else, but i doubt it.

So OoT, MM, WW, than obviously PH and now ST.

2. OoT, then TP. OoT happens, link goes back in time for MM, but what happens with the timeline as link being a kid still? Here's what i think....

Link goes back to be able to live his childhood, leaves hyrule, and after MM events he returns to Hyrule, grows up, and faces Ganondorf the way he did at the end of OoT anyway. He defeats ganon, time goes on.
Than, the events of TP happen. Why? Because he wears the clothes of an ancient hero. Thats the link from OoT im thinking. Also, the temple of time is still there, still in tact somewhat, but starting to be taken over by the sacred grove. Here we see twilight the first time. Link defeats it and order is reset.

Time moves on more, now a link to the past happens. no more temple of time, but the sacred grove is there as is the master sword in the sacred grove. So, the temple of time completely dissappeared into the wood. The other version of the world in ALTTP is TWILIGHT. That's my theory. We saw in TP what happens to people in twilight, they become just spirits. Well, its sort of similar to people in ALTTP, they change form, they change shape, into animals and plants and objects. Link, the chosen one, or w/e, doesnt change shape. Why? same reason why link from TP can retain his form in twilight. Maybe in ALTTP, the twilight completely takes over and creates that other dimension.

So there.

That's my split timeline theory, one of many, and now we just gotta wait and see where this new zelda takes place, if its directly after TP with the same exact link, or a different link altogether on a different timeline, or what.

My hope, in all honesty, is that's a different link, either before or way after TP, or having nothing to do with TP, because since TP was the last console zelda, i don't want to see the same exact hyrule. Its gotta be different.

ANd i hope he's in hyrule, i dont want him in another world like in MM, it was cool but i want him in hyrule again.

Although, since they put an emphasis on no master sword, i wouldn't be suprised if this was a different place.

It would be cool if this took place before OoT, or maybe between OoT and WW, or something. Idk lol.

YES! To this day my favorite FPS EVER! COD4 came close though...but something about those classic games..probably just because they were from my childhood lol. but COD and Goldeneye were so different, it's hard to compare even though they are both FPS.

so...Goldeneye! lol

Ocarina of Time made an impression on me from the day I played it 10 years ago, no, 11 now?

It's by far my favorite game of all time. No other game have I gone back and played over and over again so many times.

The excellent story, the smooth and incredible gameplay, the vibrant, detailed and lush graphics (even by today's standards!)

It was the first zelda game I ever played, and is nothing less than perfect.

Here's my favorites though:

1. Ocarina of Time

2. Twilight Princess (because in so many ways it did everything Ocarina of Time, and although being so similar could've been a negative, it was incredible!)

3. A Link to the Past/Wind Waker (LTTP is def my favorite 2d zelda ever, but Wind Waker was rather unique in more than one way and its just very enjoyable)

4. Majora's Mask

5. The Legend of Zelda (NES)

Easy, although this would not happen on any non-Nintendo system...

Ocarina of Time.

This is definitely my favorite game of all time. I play it to this day. I have the original on N64, plus the rerelease on gamecube disc of it.

If they remade Ocarina of Time, the exact same game, nothing different because it truly was perfect, simply with today's standards of graphical and technical stuff, I would be in heaven. Ocarina of Time still looks great to me, so vibrant and detailed and rich. But imagine that with the level of graphics found in say Assassin's Creed, or Far Cry 2, or Crysis, oh my god lol.

isn't that what these forums are for?:)

Well, christmas just passed and i got 3 new games, and a giftcard to gamestop.

For xmas I asked for Far Cry 2, Need for Speed Undercover, Call of Duty 5, and Midnight club LA. I got the first three of those, and not MCLA.

I got a 40$ giftcard too. I already have 2 controllers, so a controller is useless, and I really wanted a 60gb hdd but even w/ the giftcard id be payin 60 bucks for that stupid package it comes with. So i'd say thats a no.

I kinda want another game - I was obviously thinking about MCLA b/c its only 40 bucks, perfect, right? Well, now that I have NFS, idk if its worth getting.

Plus I keep hearing its too hard.

Any suggestions on that?

Also, I was thinking about Soul Calibur IV. I rented it once, and unlocked all the characters, but it was still a lot of fun to play. But Idk if i should buy it or not because i remembered SCII was fun for a while, then it just sort of died on me. All fighting games do. Hows the online play with SCIV? I didnt play too much online when i rented it. Is it worth buying if i already practically beat it?

Anyway, i'm willing to buy a brand new 60$ game cause id only be payin 20 for it, so any other suggestions much appreciated:)

I'm into racing, fighting, FPS, action/adventure, not so much rpg but sorta (i loved oblivion, and games that have rpg elements like fable, zelda, etc), etc.

I just dunno what to buy lol.
