This game looks gorgeous in the cutscenes, the facial animations and voice acting are all top notch. But the game is a technical disgrace. So many bugs. Even obvious things that seemingly were simply ignored, or makers were to lazy to bother with. Early on when i placed Lincoln infront of a mirror, then tried another because, Lincoln didnt give a reflection in the first mirror, then same the second. Yep, Lincoln simply deosnt show up in mirrors, i mean WTF, is he a vampire?. Maybe he is. How was this allowed to be ok?. You constantly hear the same voice loops during shootouts, as if loads of different enemies have the exact same voice and quote. AND, the voice loop, many times, continues after you have killed all enemies in the area, so you think someone is still alive, wander round looking, then finally realise its just another bug. Maybe its the ghost of a goon you just killed calling out, who knows?.

I killed a guy, whos body clipped into a building, so it kept twitching around, making a constant thudding sound. Simple, i thought, i will walk away, far enough so i cant hear the annoying sound anymore. No, no matter how far i went, the sound stayed the same level. So i go back, pick up the body and drop it away from building to shut it up. (why you pick up bodies in the first place is a mystery, you dont hide them and a lot of times the enemies dont care too much anyway).

I parked my car up, went into a building to see a cutscene, then came out to find my car put in a garage a smashed up, smoking wreck, for no reason. Sometimes your car simply wont start and to fix this you have to jump out, then back in again to get it started.

Driving a bit of a distance from one point to another, the day went from light to dark, light to dark, light to dark, a good 10 or so times, completely randomly. Thats it for now, how this was allowed to release in its current condition is absolutely baffling. Who are the game testers?. Was there any?. Probably, but the makers seemingly just shoved it out of the door. There was indeed a reason why they refused review copies.

Sad.

Well videogamer.com have their review up. Exactly what was expected. Fun at first, but a few hours in you realise there's not a lot to it, not enough to hold your attention in the long run. 7/10.

@dani_i89 Because your canoe ended up there and you look perty. Now all they need is a banjo player......

To be fair tho, zombies could sound like anything, being fictional an all.

Wow, so the zombies die when you shoot them and dont take 3 to 4 hit markers, then turn and kill you in a quick burst, unlike the the broken comp lag mp online this game has that the review forgot to mention. Good job.

@AntoPap Kotaku "Sega will be releasing more levels and playable characters in the future as paid DLC, but for now, survival mode doesnt have much to it".

@deon99 But proper horror is when nothing is happening, when you dont see the monster, dont anticipate when its coming, leaving you on edge of when its gonna turn up. You KNOW its going to, but never know when. Granted, it could turn out to be terrible, but for me, not seeing the monster but knowing its out there is more scary than seeing it and been in your face all the time.

@DefconRave Kotaku says "A.I has both dread and panic in spades, yet it lacks a third staple of horror video games: The jump scare. There are almost no traditional scripted jump scares in Isolation, no moments when you open a door and a beast jumps out at you or when walk past a closet only to have a something burst out of it behind your back.

As has been touted by its developers for months on end A.I is a simulation, NOT a series of scripted events"

The last paragraph is what i recall hearing from developers too. Take from that what we will.

@DefconRave @psycadelix Ive no idea, its just ive been watching this game for a while and the makers claimed when they were making it that the Aliens movements in the game were not scripted so you couldnt plan ahead of time what to do and making it unpredictable. I wont be surprised in the least if it doent work out that way, but thats what they claimed. Hey ho.

@DefconRave Yea. But like im wondering, if he played through again would it be boring in parts for him because the makers claimed that the Aliens movements in the games are not scripted, and if thats actually true, then the Alien wont show up in pre planned parts of the game (except for the first time of course) meaning it would turn up in parts the second play through that it didnt in the first. Hoping thats the case, otherwise its a bit of a fib of the Aliens movements not being scripted.
