Thanx guys. so apparently there's no difference between 480 and 1060 at all and i'd be fine with any of them, right? even with that 2 gb ram difference between 6/8 versions of them?

Hey guys. after losing my previous GC I'm about to replace it with one of these two. which one is better in your opinion and why?

I also have 2 other questions.

1. both of these cards have other versions with less ram (4gb for 480, 3gb for 1060). my question is, why amd and nvidia do this? I mean, do these two really capable of analyzing and rendering all graphical data at maximum load on 6gb/8gb as good as their 3gb/4gb versions?

2. both of these cards have been overclocked and released by different brands with different prices. my options are only MSI and ASUS.

the only difference I can see between ASUS DUAL-RX480-O8G and MSI RX 480 ARMOR OC 8GB is their Memory Clock Speed (which is 1291 MHz for MSI, and 1325 MHz for ASUS) and nothing else. but there's a significant price difference between them where I live. and it's almost the same for Nvidia cards. cards with less Memory Clock Speed are cheaper. so my question is: does this little differences between Memory Clock Speeds really matter? how much? how many frames? is there a noticeable difference in performance between an ASUS and a MSI card?

thanks in advance.

Hey guys.

Recently my poor Asus R9 290X Direct CU OC 4gb DDR5 passed away (RIP buddy :'( ) which I had since almost 3.5 years ago. my gaming rig includes:

- an ASUS B85-PLUS mother Board

- a 750 W green power

- an I7 4790K CPU

- 8 GB of RAM

so I'm looking for your advises for a replacement for my card with full compatibility with my current system without needing to improve any other part. but plz have 2 factors in mind:

1. The price is important to me. I don't have much money so forget about those extra expensive cards. the less price the better. I need my card to be almost at same level with 290X, preferably just a little bit better not much. I don't want to experience 4k gaming or things like that. I just want to continue my gaming life as it was around a week ago before losing my card.

2. after a long time of having the pain of AMD drivers and their crappy support in the a**, i'm tired of them and i'd like to buy a Nvidia card this time. please include amd cards in your options if there's really not any better option. I prefer a Nvidia card much more.

any help will be much appreciated,

thanx in advance.

searched around the net and this is what most players say:

you can have sex with all the available ladies in the game, whores, keira, and other characters in the side quests.

but between Yen and Triss, you should choose only 1 of them. you'll have the option to send Yen and Triss to Kaer Morhen.

if you send Yen => romance with Yen

if you sen Triss => romance with triss

if you send both => you'll romance with none of them!!! they'll unite against you and make a plan to give you a good lesson :)

so take care!

hey guys,

as you know, Geralt can have sex with different ladies in main or secondary missions and you can accept or decline the offer. but the question is, does accepting having sex with a character bring problems to his relationship with the others? (specially Yen)

*Spoiler*

for example, I finished all Keira's quests. and in the end she asks Geralt to spend a night with her. during that conversation you have 3 choices:

1. accepting it

2. not in the mood

3. there's someone else

so, if I don't choose the 3rd option, will that effect the story and the relationship between geralt and yen? like a bad ending?

and If i choose to be loyal only to Yen through whole story and skip all other sex options, will I get anything special in the end?

thnx in advance

sorry if my question is stupid. but can someone plz explain me in simple terms how a game's FPS locks on 30 or 60 by using vsync option?

there are different options in different games. in some of them we can only on/off vsync while there are other games with options like: vsync > off/double buffered/triple buffered (or off/2x/3x). can someone explain what's the difference between these two, what each of these options mean and which one locks your fps on 30 and which one is for 60?

thanx

thank you.
but are you sure that doing it will solve the problem completely? is there anything in the error detail that i posted above that refers to replacing the places of the RAM dimms?

hey guys. it's about a month since i sold my old system and bought a new one.

my old system was a p5b motherboard, 4 gb ram, ati 5850, and a core 2 duo 2.2 ghz cpu.

as you can see the cpu was pretty weak and i had the blue screen problem every now and then. specially after playing heavy games or using the pc nonstop for a long time.

the system i've bought recently is a B85 PLUS motherboard, a R9 290X GPU, Intel 4770k CPU, and 8 gb of ram. everything's pretty good about this system. it's really powerful and i play all games with the highest quality without any serious pressure on it. the percentage of ram and cpu usage barely passes 40% even in the worst conditions. the only problem i still have is that F'in blue screen. i still get it :'( specially if i play 2 or 3 different games without restarting system, or downloading torrent for a long time, or downloading torrent and playing games at the same time.my pc doesn't use even half of its abilities and it's really odd for me to see that crappy screen again. the latest BS happened a few minute ago and i received this error detail after system reset:

Problem signature:
