@Maroxad: What you said about the deja vu is exactly how I feel about Tears of the Kingdom. Sure, Nintendo has new puzzles, new but familar story, obviously new sky islands and depths to explore, the new mechanics with the ultrahand, and some new enemies and tweaks here n there but ultimately, im getting the been there done that over n over with this game.

Its the exact same formula as BotW. Same map, same moblin forts all over the place (nice of them to add dragons and monkeys for new enemies), same tower situation for uncovering the map, shrines are back again and lots of them of course, and much of the music has been recycled from BotW.

Im having some fun with it but so many aspects are unchanged from BotW that im left pretty disappointed. I was expecting a brand new fresh experience in a new land and different things to do. But its very much the same as the previous game with some new additions.

@girlusocrazy: From my experience, if ppl argue for a long time back n forth on the internet about anything, yes they very much are serious about the topic otherwise they would drop it and piss off like you say.

Its why I dont do it as much as I used to. You can find yourself going down a rabbit hole of back n forths with ppl for some really dumb arguments. Arguing in real life is much more meaningful because the person is right in front of you and you are getting their emotions as well as words so you can tell right away if its serious or not based on their tone and whatnot. Ppl online can and often are really flippant about anything. So to spend a lot of time with someone who may or may not be serious or truly understanding of your position is an exercise in futility.

That being said, sure if all you want is to plant the idea in someone's mind about why you feel what you feel on a topic then that makes sense too.

@girlusocrazy: Im not sure about quality content, but almost anything beats going around in circles arguing with someone on the internet who wont admit they are wrong.

Anyways, Ive had enough of this. Sorry to all who lost their politics forum on a video game website but the writing was on the wall, imo. Im sure there are plenty of other sites you can go to to argue about how awful Trump was and how senile Biden is and whatnot.

@DEVILinIRON: I wouldnt bother arguing with LJSbasic. Like you said, he wont ever admit he is wrong. Best thing to do with those kinds of ppl is ignore them. They'll leave and find some other website to spread their garbage personality onto. Its pretty clear he is quite upset his political forum kicked the bucket...on a video game website. Let that sink in.

@girlusocrazy: I was talking more about how a forum known for having a lot of divisive and mean-spirited comments rather than actual discussion that goes somewhere is now gone. From a video game website.

Good riddance.

@LJS9502_basic: I guess you'll have to figure out what to do with your time now that your forum is gone. I don't know what to tell you.

@LJS9502_basic: Sure, I don't care. They can do what they want for the rules of their site. I don't have to agree with them. I have more going on with my life than daily needing to make snide one-liner remarks back to people who don't agree with me politically.

Hey why don't you write your congressman and tell him to get Gamespot to bring back Political Gamers so you can resume your important business?

@uninspiredcup: Yep, I agree that stuff sucks. But at least they aren't putting out too many articles on what the President said at this summit meeting or this ban on whatever....yet anyway.

@LJS9502_basic: I would hardly call the threads on PG "discussions". More like whatever side is popular to hate on, keep dogpiling on it and anyone who offers a difference of opinion is dogpiled on as well.

At the end of the day, this is GAMEspot, not Politicspot. I never understood the reason for PG when every topic devolved into a total shitshow. You can call threads on System Wars the same thing if you want but in the end, this site isn't for politics anyway so yes, it makes sense we can only talk about what Gamespot wants us to if you follow the history of the nastiness.

This kinda reinforces my whole belief that nowadays you really can't have too much discourse between people of differing political views without things escalating and name-calling and ad hominem arguments happening, if that is why they decided to close the forum.

There was one time in college where I saw two guys who seemed very educated talking about the future election between Hillary and Trump and they both were giving valid points about the strengths and weaknesses of both candidates at the time. Nobody got heated and angry. They disagreed with each other on some things but all in all, it was a very rare sight to see that. The popular thing to do is hate on whatever side for whatever reason and scoff and get sarcastic towards each other. I don't see that helping anything but it's the way the world has been going now.
