@mattbbpl: Whoops. Sorry if I made it confusing. Arizona had stricter rules. Granted it could have been region specific. I crossed over into the Navajo nation. Maricopa County hasnt been as strict, though more so than Oregon.
In all seriousness, I noticed the difference from Oregon as soon as I crossed the border. A lot of smaller stores wont even allow you inside without a mask.

Yeah. And often it is with 3 months warning if you are let go. If you're fired on the spot it better be a damn good reason. And I think you need to be in a type of leader position for that to happen.
Years ago at my current work place, someone made a mistake resulting in destroying a product worth $60K or more. Fired? nah.
Edit: Breaking the contract is reason(s) for firing someone, but it got to be severe for it to be effective immediately. Normally I think you need a warning or two first.
It's pretty hard to get yourself fired at my company. If someone were to screw up due to lack of attention to detail, they could easily wipe out $1 Million in product. They would get a very serious warning, but they probably wouldn't be fired (though the next step may result in termination).
The only violations that truly result in immediate termination are safety violations, three attendance warnings or a serious breach of our Code of Conduct.
I've only fired one employee here and it was due to a serious Code of Conduct violation.
