Don't they sink whaling ships? How is that good for the environment? Wouldn't the Wii be the worst, as you have to get new batteries every few days? Anyways, google this up: Did you hear that there's global warming happing on many planets in the solar system? If that's true, then there's nothing that we can do, as the warming is happening by the sun or by a extrasolar source.
Pre-CoD4, I would've blamed Sony, but really: it's just lazy-ass porters, as CoD4 was flawless. And no, I won't get a 360, until the get rid of the 1 in 3 chance of it blowing up. Lazy porters don't phase me more than a company that makes crap hardware, because the PS3 exclusives are very good in quality, unlike most 360 games. Mass effect freezes a lot, as well as crashes, as does Halo 3, as does Crackdown's Coop Connectivity, Bioshocks stuttering, Dead Rising's Crashes, Forza's crashes and more: not to mention that every great game that comes out for the 360 will eventually make it to the PC with better graphics anyways like Gears of War did, although I'm waiting to see if there'll be an improvement in quality for Lost Planet for the PS3 first. Who would've thunk that a company famous for Blue-screens on their software would have red-rings on their hardware? :P Not that I'm in love with Sony: I was going to get a 360 this Xmas because I like games, not consoles(heard good then not so good news about the new chips and hardware for the 360); Sony and Microsoft are names that have nothing to do with me but really, for the money the 360 is asking for (console plus peripherals) which STILL puts it above the PS3 in price I was expecting much more, but for now, I'll play what comes out on the PC.
Shoot, MGS4 is one of THE reasons to get a PS3! The (likely) death of Snake, a new Foxhound rising, old enemies coming out of the woodwork like Spiderman VS the Sinister Six battling it out to see that Snake gets that looong kiss goodnight, Graphics tipping the scales to reach Killzone-2 (and possibly higher) quality, historic storylines that both intergrate flawless into one another, yet are always self-contained, rock-solid gameplay from the game that invented the stealth genre from one of the best videogame franchises ever! SOLD!
It's sad to think that this company, once the leader of the beginning of the game console era and at one time owning Nintendo, now is in such poor shape. It goes to show that if you don't change with the times you can be left behind. I think the Jaguar was the beginning of the end; well actually their games: Iron Soldier was a solid game but they hardly texture-mapped anything. I think their best game was Aliens Versus Predator, which was argueably the scariest AVP title of all time. The graphics were top notch for it's day and the sound effects were the best. The alien screaming would get you almost every time when they snuck up on you.
One thing I don't get about the Wii: Why would I play Wii sports when I can play SPORTS? and a videogame version of ping-pong is just too stupid to comment on. If you're a normal person and are too weak and uncoordinated to play ping-pong in real life, you deserve jocks punching you in the face. You don't have to be great at something to have fun with it. Man, that's the only drawback to videogames: replacing pratice and disipline with a man who can already play sports. *sigh*.
They're probably adding the rumble, as Kojima previously said that they would add it if they had time, and that was after the '08 release announcement, if I'm not mistaken, so it now looks like they have the time to do it right. And If I'm not mistaken, isn't the 2nd quarter April, May, June? If it's only one month, I'm not phased, because that gives me time to get all 1st places on Motorstorm, get all of the gold medals in Lair; (start)Heavenly Sword, Folklore, Ratchet and Clank; and buy HAZE, Army of Two, Kane and Lynch, and Uncharted when they come out. Heck, and hopefully Killzone 2 will either fill the void or come after MGS4.
RUMOUR SQUASHED: (ONCE AGAIN, GAMESPOT'S BEHIND) << LINK REMOVED >> Last week, an Australian lifestyle technology publication claimed that a Toshiba executive told them that a new Xbox 360 with a built-in HD DVD drive is in the works. Now, a British gadget magazine got word from a Toshiba spokesperson, who told them: "It's got nothing to do with us. But we know Microsoft doesn't want to include the HD DVD drive so as not to limit the user's experience." << LINK REMOVED >>
