How much for that Pikachu?

Nothing. It's not even for sale.

:|

Found this at a crafts shop and took a picture. Made from plaster of Paris by....someone. The shop gives out art lessons for a token sum and someone made the Pikachu. There's a smaller version of this for sale though.

My first Level 100 Pokemon!

After 10 years since I started playing Pokemon, finally, FINALLY I get one of them bloody critters to the highest possible level by my own training. It's a Shiny Togekiss! Before you call hax, I only hacked the aesthetic parts. The shininess and Cherish Ball are of course, hacked. The level, moves, nature, EVs, IVs and ability are NOT hacked. I trained this thing on my own till it was Level 100. Of course, I put in full EVs on Sp. Attack. That's the highest I've ever seen it go! (I don't train Alakazam, and my Porygon-Z's nature doesn't favor Sp.Atk, so don't get me started)

My other closest attempts at getting a Pokemon to Level 100:

Pokemon Crystal: Played till I reached and beat Red, my Feraligatr was Level 86. Then I got bored.
Pokemon Sapphire: Swampert was Level 88. I showered so much love on him too, he has like 26 contest ribbons and other miscellaneous ribbons on him. I even traded him to my Pearl version hoping to finally get him to Lv100, but didn't.
Pokemon Platinum: Got my Empoleon to a whopping Level 96, Manaphy to Level 91 and Porygon-Z to 93. I was genuinely thinking that I could create a Level 100 team this time. Then Soul Silver came out. Crap. Maybe I'll trade Empoleon over.

Anyway *phew*. Now to put Togekiss into my special Pokemon Box and call it a job well done.

Haya Saitama 2000 (tagged, lol)

Well here I've been wondering when anyone was going to tag me and out of the blue two guys tagged me with two different things at the same time :P I've been too lazy to blog, but I'll do it for whoever tagged me first. Right, sman3579? :P I'll do Sgt-Yoshi's tag tomorrow.

Here are the rules:

1. Put Your iTunes (or other music player) on Shuffle.
2. For each question, press the next button to get your answer.
3. You must write down the name of the song no matter how silly it sounds!
4. Put any comments in brackets after the song name.
5. Tag at least 10 friends.
6. Anyone tagged has to do the same, because fun pointlessness spreads like a virus.

This is going to suck hard, because all there is on my music player is Taiko no Tatsujin music :P Well, here goes.

1. If someone says, "Is this okay?" You say:
Taiko no Tatsujin- Tower of Druaga Medley (arf!)

Now you understand how crappy my music player is :P Now go look into yours.

What's in your DSi camera album?

Own a DSi? Then you'll have probably used its camera at least once or twice. What's in your album? I use mine regularly especially when I go out with friends and have a good time together, or bring my DS on long trips and take pictures of interesting things (and unnecessary junk) along the way. From the day I got mine I've had about 90 pictures in my album. About ten of them are uploaded to my Facebook account, which are the more interesting ones that don't feature my face or anyone else's (don't want to betray people's privacy now, right?)

Some kid playing at an open public fountain near a cafe I was at. Hope he doesn't catch a cold when he goes back.

A beach picture, with my footprint next to a Manaphy I drew out. Hey, it's actually meaningful to leave behind memories like this. I've posted this picture before. Try to find it.

Whose are these? PS3 games in a Nintendo column? They actually belong to Cross, and I got a chance to take a look at a couple of the five games shown here. Pretty nice ones too.

My little angel, a Togekiss Pokedoll. It's not much bigger than the palm of my hand, but that face. THAT FACE. It's irresistable!

Best name ever devised for a coffee shop. Starbucks be damned.

Do you use the Disqus comment system?

It's one of the many comment box things powering many blogs, and the convenient thing about it is you don't need specific usernames/passwords for each site that has one of these built into its comment box. You only need one :)

So, does anyone use Disqus? Just wanted to know since I recently swapped my own blog's comment box with Disqus. I may make identical blogs on both Gamespot and Nintendo 5-Star from time-to-time, so anyone using a Disqus login can comment both here and on N5S freely as they please.

Pokemon Black/White Digest

Haven't been catching up and worried you might be overwhelmed? Here's all the stuff on Pokemon Black/White we know up to this point, condensed into one (not so) neat blog post. If you want to learn more but afraid to dig out all the information from so many different sources, this is the easiest way to catch up now :)

http://nintendo5star.blogspot.com/2010/07/pokemon-blackwhite-definitive-guide.html

Of course, I had some problems writing it, as I still don't fully understand why the C Gear exists. It keeps Trainer profiles (like the Pal Pad), has options for High Link and Pokemon Global Link (which can be done elsewhere already) and set up battles and trades (again, which can be done elsewhere). Why is it there?

How do you keep Pokeballs shut?

Here's somthing for you Pokemon fans to think about.

You capture Pokemon in Pokeballs, then wait for it to stop shaking, that's indicative of a successful capture. But if it opens again the Pokemon breaks free.

So why do you have to sit and stare at the Pokeball in suspense till it stops? Can't you just hold it down and force it shut? Would be a lot easier.

What makes games compelling and addictive?

Thought I might want to ask all of you this question, since most of us have different preferences on what we like in games. What is that secret something in videogames that gets you hooked onto it for a while? Games like Monster Hunter, Tetris, Guitar Hero, Pokemon, Call of Duty....what makes you keep on coming back even though what you'll ultimately be playing is the same routine over and over again?
