I used to think that as well... Then Retro Studios came along and completely shamed every one of Rare's Sonkey Kong games. The old country games are still fun but moreso from a nostalgia angle. They don;t hold up the best especially when put besides Retro's master classes in platformer design

Tropical Freeze does get pretty close to DKC2 as far as I am concerned.

The reason I give DKC2 the edge might sound totally silly, but it is because I am completely baffled about how the bonus mini-games are ridiculously repetitive on the Returns series when they were so brilliant and varied on the original trilogy.

you are bored of dynasty warrior games? have you played a lot of them?

It is not that I am bored of them. I haven't played any of them, but - from looking at videos, images, previews, etc - it just doesn't look like a series I would enjoy.

I will give it a try, though. Mostly due to the Zelda coat of paint.

I am planning on getting it soon. However, I am not too excited about it.

The greatest sidescroller of all (aka Donkey Kong Country 2: Diddy’s Kong Quest) will be available for a new generation to play it.

I love the news.

Bayonetta is not really my kind of game, but since it comes packed with the original I will give it a try.

Still, I am happy about the score, especially considering some of the reactions to it will be quite amusing.

I was excited about the game when it was about to come out, but now I am not sure.

I think most people are unimpressed.

There does not seem to be much to it. I will agree with those who said that, as far as collaborations and spin-offs go, Nintendo could have aimed for something far more interesting.

I am still trying to track down a copy of the game.

Hopefully I will find it soon.
