@shaunmc @Disturbed_88 I like to think that the doctor you play only has one arm.
Everyone told him he could no longer be a doctor after the traumatic accident with a bone saw, but he proved them wrong!

@hateyourface I do not own a smartphone (crazy I know) but from watching my friends play the games I realized that almost all the games are basically skinner boxes that more or less charge you for crap to be competitive at the games.

You must be on at such and such time to do an event, you must do one or two things each day so you don't lose something. They make the games a routine, you do it because you feel you have to rather then wanting too.
Every time I see one of my friends play one of these games it makes me want to slap some sense into them.

What I'm hoping they do is start making games like The Walking Dead that Telltale games made.

The problem is not used games cutting into profits, this is just an after effect of the real problem.

The games are just getting to expensive to make thus the price of them are increasing and the more they have to sell to make a profit. But people don't want to pay $80 for a game because they just don't have the money to do so.

Lets say a game took $8m to make (just a number in the dark), they would have to sell 100k units to just break even. While that is not that much for Skyrim think of other games that have to hit that mark. This is also the reason why so many publishers are so hesitant about starting new IPs.

The solution to this problem? Keep the cost of developing the games down. Keep prices of games down. While this may mean less graphics or smaller games that won't matter if people can afford the game.

Video games cause mass murder. OK, lets get rid of those. You know I heard guns are pretty dangerous lets get rid of those too. While we are at it lets get rid of swords and those smaller ones called knives. You can get hurt with baseball bats too so there out. Boards with nails in them can cause irreparable damage as well, so nails and boards are banned.

Oh snap look at all the hard rocks around here that can be used as bunt objects, we should use all of our nations monies and get rid of those.

You know I'm starting to think this guy never played video games. Usually when they go this route (blaming video games for violence) they often times resort to talking about the games the killer played often times making sure to show everyone how bad the games are.
Try looking up what games he played and you end up finding "Call of Duty type game" but it is never specified what game he played or they just say he was an avid gamer.. This leads me to believe that they are making it up.

The spread sheet should tell these people that what he wanted to be famous, if even for something bad. He wanted to be someone people remembered. And as bad as it sounds the easiest way to be remembered in history is by killing people.

Game reminds me of Torus Troopers, but not. It is a bullet hell game where your ship is in a tube, you got to maneuver around the tube to dodge bullets and such.

Anyways you should try it out or any of the games at ABA Games. All the games are at the low low low price of free.

"My bill didn't pass, what should I do now? I know I'll submit it again without changing a thing, maybe they didn't read it the first time."

Guy sounds like he just wants to be in the lime light just a bit longer, wasting everyone's time and money. If the bill ever gets past and if they find out that on the off chance that violent video games do cause violence in children (or whatever there testing), what then?
You can't outright ban violent video games, that there is unconstitutionality.
Make a law that prevents children from playing them? Adults are the ones buying them for there kids in the first place.

In the end nothing is going to change even if this bill gets passed.

@alrepairs

Thanks for bringing that up, I tend not to pay attention to release dates of consoles. I don't buy consoles anywhere close to there release time.

I wait for bugs (such as this) to be stomped out and for a greater list of games to come out first before I consider buying or not.

On another note. Japan do celebrate Christmas but slightly different then the rest of us. http://tanutech.com/japan/jxmas.html
