Very early in the game, In the Forrest of Giants, I panicked when a giant bird appeared overhead while I was climbing a ladder & fled. Yeah, I know... Anyway, I obviously missed my chance to fight the Pursuer, and never reached "the area after the Pursuer fight", which I'm told is where you access the Memory of Orro. Is there still a way for me to access it (the memory)?
I summoned Lucatiel for the fights against the Flexile Sentry, the Smelter Demon & the Lost Sinner. She survived all 3 encounters (Smelter Demon was close!) I am about to fight the Rotten, but I did not encounter her in the tunnel, nor did her summon sign appear when I went human. Is this because I already completed/satisfied the 3 battle/survival requirement, in which case she should appear in Alda's Keep, or did something go wrong?
Thanks for the feedback, but I've already been trading certain "Mini-Boss" souls to Straid for spells. I'm asking about souls like the Old Iron King or the Lost Sinner. Only Ornifex can craft them, but she (he?) only makes weapons which my stats prevent me from wielding, not spells. They each yield like 25K souls, so unless there's ANY other benefit to holding on to them...
If I already have a high enough SM to access the Shrine of Winter, and as a Mage, I'm not particularly interested in the special weapons Ornifex can craft with them (should I be?), can I just eat my "Souls of Old Ones" to level up? I love the finality of your actions in this game, just don't want to find out I missed out on something cool.
Been playing since launch, but didn't try diving for money until after the patch, and I too am coming up empty. Looks like we're SOL. We'll have to make our money the old-fashioned way...STEAL IT!
Wow. Been trading with Snuggly frequently without incident. Just dropped a pyromancy flame +1 (which I actually let a maggot bite me in the face and turn my head into a freaking spider egg to obtain!!!). Quit. Re-started. EMPTY NEST! Where's my Red Titanite Slab?! Hell of a time to glitch Snuggly!
