According to my journal's collection tab, I've found & collected all shards in all regions. Opened the spirit doors first, then the ice doors, but when I try to open the final fire door, it tells me I do not have enough shards. Just curious, am I missing something or did it glitch?

Never mind. Wasn't raising my shield AFTER starting my sprint...

Playing with a Faith build, trying to break secret wall in Catacombs to obtain Heirloom Hammer, given the absolute dearth of faith based weapons in this game (which I still love!) For some reason, I'm really struggling with the "shield run" which I'm told opens the wall. Isn't it just equip shield & sprint? Playing on XboxOne and for some reason, I just end up running up the wall. Any thoughts?

Just got hit with this today. Devastating... Thanks for posting though, at least I don't have to waste my time trying to figure it out (much like I feel like I wasted my time unlocking all skills & weapons only to have the game rendered unplayable by a loading issue...)

Not sure if this is related, since I'm playing on Xbox One, but I find it interesting that it occurred on the same chapter. I quit playing after the junk yard scene, and have been unable to load the game ever since. Unlocked all skills & had about 2 million in cash, all weapons, most cars, so yeah, kinda bummed. Your dilemma sounds even worse though, sorry. The load progress line just stops at 90%, doesn't freeze, just stops. Really wanted to finish this game...

So I'm really more curious than anything else, but they have this time-sensitive achievement called "Perk master", which requires you to unlock all perks. Having done so, my progress for the achievement is still showing 96%, as if I never unlocked my final perk. Has anyone else experienced this or does anyone know why it didn't pop?

In case anyone's interested, you CAN in fact obtain the Old Dead One Soul by using a bonfire ascetic in NG at the Hidden Chamber bonfire (tried the Black Gulch Mouth bonfire first, re-spawned everything EXCEPT the Boss fog gate. Oh well...) You DO NOT have to wait until you reach Black Gulch in NG+.

Can I get Numbness by using a bonfire ascetic in NG and defeating the Rotten, or do I need to wait until I fight him (it?) in NG+? Also, if the bonfire ascetic in NG is an option, should I use it on the Black Gulch Mouth bonfire, the Hidden Chamber bonfire, or does it even matter?

Funny. Since I waited so long to fight him, ended up one-shot-ing him with soul geyser! Oh well...
