The reality of it all:

http://www.pcgamer.com/2011/10/07/opinion-ubisoft-piracy-and-the-death-of-reason/

"However, Ubisoft provides a test-case. We are almost two years into its aggressive attack on PC piracy. Recently, Ubisoftcalled its "always-on" DRM a success, claiming "a clear reduction in piracy."

In terms of actual sales, however, the results seem decidedly mixed. Michael Pachter told Eurogamer that Ubisoft's "PC game sales are down 90% without a corresponding lift in console sales."

SW__Troll

Ubisoft, the company with the worst form of drm out there is complaining that people don´t buy enough copies of their games on the PC?

Gee...I wonder why? .lol:

Arach666

I haven't bought a single Ubisoft game since their ridiculous drm came in effect, it was a personal decision and now I am glad I followed through and its seems its not only me but big numbers of people as we are seeing Ubisoft giving their honest opinions on what they they think of PC gamers in recent months by suffering from no one buying their games anymore.

First the From Dust fiasco, then the Driver San Francisco guy complaining about piracy now this guy and Ghost Recon Future Soldier being cancelled for PC. They have been very hostile towards pc but its seem they are feeling the effects now and taking things up another notch. Great PR & CUSTOMER service.

Last Ubisoft game I bought was R.U.S.E and that was only after I found out it was Steamworks which was a surprise and furthermore it has been constantly in top 100 steam most played games list. I would like to play a certain number of games but I can deal with it. They wonder why their business is non existent on PC anymore. Whilst its unfortunate its not really a loss to miss out on some interesting games for me when the reality is the game market is flooded with top quality games at the moment that I simply don't have time for all of them so I can do without some and make up the backlog I have for so many other games.

Its funny to see a lot of companies finding great success on pc recently yet Ubisoft are one of the few who are only suffering due to there treatment of customers as pirates. Sonic Generations by Sega no one was expecting it to come to pc but it was announced really late and came as a surprise and now I have bought it and its been on the Steam top sellers list for a while.

Didn't know you could. She seemed to die very fast. What happens when you save her?

seanmcloughlin
She just flies off:P also towards the end of the game she comes and picks up the kidnapped scientists and at the same time takes out a group of guards.
Non-lethal is very challenging. I have been unable to save her that way yet. But using my rifle I killed all the assaulters in mere seconds. the_ChEeSe_mAn2

It is possible but as you say very challenging. It was actually the most challenging part of the game for me as I was playing on Give Me Deus Ex mode and thought everything else wasn't that hard. I was able to do it after doing a number of different tries and in the end with some luck.

I had to be quick, precise and make my shots count. I started from the right, used cloak and double take-downs on the ground whenever I could and used energy bars to refill. A emp grenade to take care of the robot and I was fortunate at that point that when the robot exploded the enemies I took down weren't close enough to get killed. The guys on the upper levels I took down with tranq rifle.

The intensity of that part was one of my favourite parts of the game, the satisfaction of saving Malik against quite the odds and I liked the little interaction between the two in the end. That part I wasn't taking faliure for an answer. Felt great.

If your going Pacifist by the way be aware that there are bugs that in certian situations throughout the game where you may think you were non-lethal it may instead change. I don't think its been fixed so you have to be careful.

A truly revolutionary game in its time. One of the single player games ive put the most hours into on ps2 and PC (Just wish I could have gotten the character creation to work properly on the pc version)

BlancoBX

I have to agree. I see people bashing it these days as its grown old but it was brilliant in its time and still is in many ways. It was a perfect transition from the top down gta 2 which was also fantastic and had the same gameplay which was translated into a 3d world in gta 3.

Loved both games but for me overall Deus Ex HR is better simply because its a LOT more polished. AP has its flaws but it is imo hugely underrated so I think it needs patience.

Its my GOTY so far. I had some issues with chararters not being fully developed in the story but still an excellent game, loved it.
