Silent Hill doesn't need a remake. We had a reimagining and it was terrible. SH needs sequels instead.
Now Xenogears, that is the game I think most deserves a remake out of all the games that ever existed. Simply because it was awesome, filled with potential, but it was badly mistreated by Square, it was really unfair that the game was rushed and lacked budget, like it most probably did. Despite the mistreatment, the game still ended up awesome and fulfilling. It deserved to be completed, so it's only just that it does.

@Xristophoros: I think Xenogears and Vagrant Story are above Parasite Eve for story, but the story of PE is good too. And the gameplay is extremely better than Xenogears, because Xenogears was bad in the gameplay department, unfortunately. I think both Xenogears and Parasite Eve should get sequels. Vagrant Story is harder, since it never got even 1 sequel. PE1 is definitely the best, especially story-wise, but 2 is good too. The 3rd Birthday is the one that's garbage.

Capcom should really give us RE2 remake news.
