System Restore is your first line of defense. It can help you return to a point before an issue began, like a time machine. You can always undo it in case it does not work. You can go through the tutorial first, and then restore to the point you were before it started. If System Restore is not enabled on the C drive do that now so it's possible to enable it in the future.

If the problem repeats or System Restore doesn't work then check which Windows Updates were installed at Settings > Update & Security > Windows Updates > Update History, uninstall them there or System Restore again, then immediately check for and block the Updates with the Hide Updates tool explained here: https://www.tenforums.com/tutorials/8280-hide-s...
Even if you've already tried the steps I suggest, please repeat them in the order I suggest.
1) Run the Store apps troubleshooter in Settings > Update and Security Troubleshoot.

2) Search for and install game updates using the Microsoft Store app > Hub (three dots at the top right) > Updates.
3) Reset Minecraft in Windows Settings > Applications > Features and Apps > Minecraft > Advanced Option > Repair or Reset. Restart PC and try again.
If none of these work, uninstall Minecraft from Settings above, reboot your computer, reinstall from MS Store Hub (three dots on the top right of the Store app) > My Library.
4) The Display driver is so vital that just updating it sometimes not enough. Therefore, let's try every option to get it working correctly:
Update the driver for the Display from the PC or Display adapter maker's Support Downloads website for the exact model number, HP Serial Number or Dell Service Tag - which is located on the sticker on the PC.
While there, look for newer chipset, BIOS/UEFI firmware (very vital) as well as network audio, USB3 and other drivers, comparing to the ones that are currently installed in Device Manager reached by right clicking on the Start Menu.
If this doesn't give you the latest or ideal driver for what you need, compare it to the driver offered by the Intel driver update Utility here: http://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/... or the Nvidia Update utility here: http://www.nvidia.com/Download/Scan.aspx? nbjyxspa lang=e... or the AMD autodect utility here: http://support.amd.com/us/gpudownload/windows/P...
For Display issues one fix that works is to Roll back or uninstall the driver on the Display Device > Driver tab, restart PC to reinstall driver.
You can also try older drivers by using Device Manager > Display device > Driver tab > Update Driver > Browse > Let me Pick.
Then you will know you've tried everything except to Windows Update drivers.
You can alter the resolution of your screen until it looks great. Go to Settings > System > Display.
5) If nothing else helps then contact Minecraft Support here: https://help.minecraft.net/hc/en-us/requests/new
I hope this helps. Feel free to ask back any questions you have and keep me posted. If you don't rate my post, I will continue to work with you until the problem is solved.
