Even the Joker was presented in a way which made the potential audience sympathetic and intrigued. In addition than the main character's status as a villain, anti hero, or whatever, the trailers for this movie were awful and made it look like a cash-in based off of a universally panned movie.

If this was a feature-length release, it'd be 10/10. It becomes nearly impossible to put down just as it ends. Fantastic experience.

I love the idea of the new controller. Really seems like a step forward . The standard rumble just feels stale and I don't know why I even keep it on anymore. Seems like it could inspire the devs as well.

The game plays and looks great. Luckily, I didn't play much of the originals, so it is a new experience for me. The charge, fire breathing, and gliding mechanics and vertical long-distance platforming feel fresh, unique, as does the simple movement of the 4 legged dragon. And it can't be understated how great of a job they developers did with this one. They really brought the game to life.

Is there any challenge to this game? The new Rayman games cover the no challenge/mindlessly simple gameplay niche. I'd like something that you aren't able to breeze through with your eyes closed.

@jellyhillcrab: Is it supposed to be part of the appeal? Nerds with absolutely no social skills or comedic timing? That intro was painful. I can't believe that is what they would lead with on such an occasion.

If it is really this good, then they have the worst marketing department in the world. Everything about the trailers says "Cheap Cash-In".

@cboye18: I played only a demo of JC2 on PS3, but remember being impressive from a technical standpoint. I had just finished a session with Uncharted 4 and started JC3, and it really looked and played like a PS2 game by comparison. Terrible graphics, terrible gameplay, poor presentation. Like a budget developer trying to make a real game.

I've played a bit of Beyond. It's the first of these kind of games that I've tried, and I'm intrigued. The graphics and animations look great for a PS3 update, and the voice acting of the two leads is impeccable. The story is definitely interesting, and it really does feel like an interactive movie. Page and Dafoe seriously deserve some type of award, as do the animators.
