Steam ID: DimethylHypnotoad

I need some new online friends.

Preferably people who play a lot of multiplayer games.

L4D2, BC2, TF2, Civ 5, Killing Floor, or GTA4: BoGT.

I really only frequently play L4D2, BC2, and TF2 though.

Wow, now that is impressive haha!

I've seen people post online that the HX and TX 850 can easily peak further than 1000+ but are made for 850 continuous.

I suppose that person was right. :P

I google searched it a couples times.

overclock forums and whatnot.

I mean, many people would say yes.

Some would say no, you need 1200W. (Lmao, yeah right.)

And someone would say they wouldn't want to be that close to the continuous power.

Okay, so I took a leap of faith after doing some simple math and using a PSU calculator online and decided to go SLI.

I have a Corsair HX850 (As in 850watts continuous, not peak.) and I heard so many people saying that it can't handle two GTX 470's and a intensive system on load.

Well folks.. I have a i5 2500k on a P67 Sabertooth mobo with 2x4gb Vengeance sticks, a 256gb Samsung PM800 SSD,and two GTX 470s in SLI all piled up in a DF-85 case with a cooler master accesory fan (Intake for fresh gpu air directly.) and I am happy to announce that it all works perfectly and handles load well. I also have a prolimatech Armageddon with a push/pull setup on some GELID 140mm fans. CPU never goes above 40c on idle and never above 55c on load. My SLI GTX 470s never go above 65c on load. I thought they were supposed to run hot? :P

EVGA GTX 470 -AR model (Lifetime Warranty)

And recently bought Gigabyte GTX 470 Triple Fan card. (Only 3 year warranty.. but hey.. lets hope Kepler and Maxwell show up around then. :])

Anyways though, I just wanted to let anyone out there know who owns the HX850 that it can handle this kind of load easily.

I'm pretty sure my continuous wattage load is somewhere around 650w to 700w.

I'm going to try the E.Z. overclock tool in my bios and see what happens. Wish me luck!

I have a logitech z5500 sitting in my closet if you want to buy it. :P

Shipping would be horrendous though because of the subwoofer.

Damn thing shakes the walls of the house.

Hey everyone.

I'm trying to learn how to tune drift and drag and could use some help with it in Forza 3.

First three people with valuable information (SPECIFIC mind you. Not just some general stuff.) on how to tune my 350z RWD Turbo for drift and any good drag tunes get a free 20m CR Ferrari. ;)

Be sure to include your gamertag so I can send off a friend request to give you the vehicle.

Well perhaps I'm one of the lucky ones but the hinge on mine is fine. It's just a little open :T but it's function still works X_x

but I recommend to save up more.. what's the point of going your budget now.. when m11x r1 is already showing it's age in games?

I mean the main reason I bought it isn't really much to game a lot but to have the capability if I do travel :x I guess if you're just there to play

small games like LoL or cs1.6 or something then I guess it's fine.

Oh the r1 also has better battery life than the new ones I believe X-x by like an hour or 2 ..

This guy has the right idea. Don't buy this laptop if you JUST want to do gaming and travel isn't a huge issue. My R2 can barely play anything more graphical than Mass Effect 2. Anything direct x 10 and above you can forget it. I mostly just play indie games on it like Minecraft, Audiosurf, ect. It can handle games like Portal, Portal 2, and both Mass Effects on high around 40-50 fps. (Without AA)

I bought the M11XR2 on sale that came with the free Samsung 256GB SSD. Also threw in the i7 processor and all the other goodies for it.

My hinges have never given me problems but I absolutely hate the screen. Bad angles and it just looks flat. Glossy too. :(

I sometimes wish I would have gone with an Asus G73 custom from XoticPC.. but idk. The battery life on my laptop is better than anything I've seen yet and comes close to Macbooks.

I use Audio Technicas (The M50s) when playing on my 360. (I just bought it today.)

I'm used to playing games on Steam on my computer but a bunch of friends talked me into playing Halo with them and Black Ops (Which really isn't all that fun on the pc anyways. That and I have like 10 cheapskate friends who don't want to throw down on badass PCs.)

So here is my problem.. if I'm using my ADH-M50s.. how the hell do I use the microphone? And to be honest.. my setup didn't come with a headset haha. (Bought the 199$ pack with the 50 dollar target card for Black Friday)

So what microphones can I use?

I have a USB PS3 Eye that I use on my desktop for gaming and it works wonders. I put it on my desk by my 1080p monitor and use it while gaming on Steam with my ADH-M50s. (Which, by the way, blow those plastic bose POS headphones out of the water. ;) )

So does anyone know anything that would help me?

Are there any devices like the PS3Eye that I can use that have nice microphones built in?
