This game is so well crafted and fun to play. Definitely worth your money. Simply put, it has one of the best gameplay you can find on a platformer. I know there are some websites (aka just Gamespot) that gave DK an unfavorable review, but, make yourself a favor and don’t listen to them; you won’t regret it. Once you get the feel of the mechanics it is so gratifying to play, die a couple of times and then succeed. I sensed that the team in charge of creating it gave their heart outs. From the fur of the kongs to an unexpected gramophone that you can turn on and off by bashing the ground. And ohh, the music. Kudos. Enough said, If you own a Wii U throw your money at the store.

PS: I forgot I was actually commenting at Gamespot and mentioned them like they weren’t listening. Sorry about that.

@Darth_Aloysius Yeah if you want to play nintendo games you need a Nintendo for sure :) But if you want to play first person shooters with optimum graphics you don't need a Xbox or a Playstation. You have your awesome PC for that.

@Darth_Aloysius It is definitely not a smart choice for a consumer who owns a powerful PC to spend $500 on a console based on hardware. However, people often make their buying decisions based on the feeling of owning something, rather than what they actually need. And thats cool, whatever, thats the way things are.

Regarding Wind Waker. Today I have a day off Work and I am 8 hours-in of straight play :) Its been great so far. It feels like you can really enjoy the art direction originally intended for the game this time around. They fixed some gameplay drags that the original had. Mainly in the sea exploration which was kind of a hassle. Now theres a faster sailing system which makes the game more enjoyable. Along with other little fixes and upgrades. Im playing it in hero mode and I've been killed lots of times. However gameplay is so good that I keep coming back to try whatever I was doing again.

Im an ex-gamer, meaning that I grew of age, and now have a lot of things in my mind that gets in the way of me playing games. I have the money to buy wherever consoles I want, but don't have enough time to do so. Growing sucks.

This holiday season I wanted to buy a new gaming system. For the last 5 years I've owned a 360 with 37 games that I have never finished and never played more than 30mins straight (Except for Skyrim); and because of all my responsibilities, any game that can grab my attention span for more than an hour is successful in my mind.

I looked at the options out there. Xbox one at launch: Same games with better graphics. PS4: Same type of games with better graphics. And the thing about graphics, I've noticed with more than have of my life playing video games, is that you get past the novelty in a couple of weeks of playing. And when I say "same games" I mean that if you grab battlefield 4 and you already knew how to play battlefield 3, you are probably going to be playing the same game with better graphics. And when I mean same games, I mean games like Assassins Creed that are pseudo movies with very awkward gameplay and fighting system.

So, based on games that I knew I would play a lot, my best option at the moment of purchase was the Wii U. Off course as you all know, like a lot of people, got it with Mario World and Zelda TWW. So now, when I come back from work every day, I a have a $100-$200 less gaming system that I play three times more than if I would've gotten the console with the same first person shooter with better graphics.

I hope Nintendo keeps creating games exclusively for their consoles. Its good to have options; a 2 company monopoly its not the best scenario for the gaming industry.

And please people, don't be herded, make your own decisions based on your gaming needs :) Peace
