@dusdel: it's no longer a problem. I was possibly having problems because so many people were downloading and slowing the servers a bit.

So far the new update has caused half of the names on my friends list to disappear, the time it takes to search for someone using their PSN name a lot longer than I'm willing to wait and a significant increase in the wait time to join a chat party.

I created a party and then tried to accept an invite to another party. When I brought up the dashboard, nothing was listed under notifications or invitations until I went back to and left my own party. Then it showed I had several invitations and even more notifications.

Great job, Sony. Maybe with the next update you'll manage to turn my PS4 into a great looking paperweight. Does anyone even test this shit before it's forced upon the consumer????
