I am a junior in high school right now, and I am wodnering whether or not I should worry about acquiring scholarships. I have looked at various websites, and there are all sorts of contests and such where you may win a scholarship. Is it worth the while to apply for a chance at a scholarship?

In addition, if you go to or have gone to college, where did the money used to pay for it come from? For example, your parents might have paid some, or the college itself.

I'm sick of being bored out of my mind and feeling like I dont have friends to hang out with or relate to anymore since I feel like I'm moving ahead and they seem to never move on and live in the past. And I wish I had a girl in my life but because I'm living at home this summer in suburbia there's no chance of meeting anybody new -friends included. I just feel like I'm stuck in a rut. And I always feel like I'm losing time- that I'm missing out on opportunites or that I havent accomplished enough to the point that it becomes a degree of perfectionism and I dont know how to be easier on myself.

Ah I feel quite similar. I don't hang out with friends often, I have a crappy computer, and I have to study for exams. There's only two school days left till summer, and I don't have any summer activities planned yet. I wish I could do something productive...that makes me wish school would last longer.

I'm pro choice. Killing the born is far worse than killing the unborn.

A fetus cannot have a will to live, or have consciousness. It has no sense of self. It's not even a person. In its state, it is more like an object than life.

Astronomical bodies are spherical, and you cannot see the entire exterior surface from any place.
