Splinter Cell isnt dead yet they added the Splinter Cell content to GR:W. Just saying.

The reason being is probably because they have their hands full with other stuff. I'd say its still coming though. Ubi did register a new Splinter Cell trademark license recently so theres that.

The only people that think like this are Sony fanboys in this toxic forum. The bulk of cows play the same multiplats as the bulk of of lems. For all the exclusive talk and the number of PS4 consoles sold, most of the 'huge' Sony exclusives struggle to sell a million units with a 80+ million install base. With this many PS4s out there every exclusive game released on PS4 should sell 5 million minimum out the gate.

Shitting on Gears, Forza and Halo is kinda laughable when both games still have a bigger player base than any MP Sony game. Xbox is all about playing with others. thats best thing about Xbox. Fanfest shows how awesome Xbox fans are. Sony has nothing like it. PS Experience is so corporate and stiff its like people there dont even like games but just sucking their own dicks hating on stuff thats not Sony. Just like your post lol.

Pros:

--- MS checked off the boxes they said the would.

--New Studios. Doubled down on the tech advantage.

---Backed up the Japan trip. From Software showing their game in the Xbox presser means things are definitely changing. At the beginning of this gen that game would have been a PS4 exclusive. Same goes for bringing No mans Sky (lol) to Xbox. I get they want to actually get back on multiplat parity which is half the battle.

--Doubled-down on Gamepass. Cows will blah about about more Forza/Halo/Gears but FH4, Crackdown 3 and Gears 5 on Gamepass at launch just bought my sub renewal.

--- Buying Playground Games is major. They are a flagship of gaming tech and they will give their expertise to the other studios. They floated the idea that the non racing new IP is still in the works. Thats a good sign.

-- Good to see they are backing Sea of Thieves for the long haul. Two new expansions coming means it will continue to flesh out. Contrary to what this forum says a lot of people play SoT.

--new Ori, new Cuphead Content. New Batttletoads.

--Crackdown 3 looks better. Was playing the original last night and I definitely will appreciate the upgrade. Its a fun game for what it is. I'll really be impressed if they bring the MP destruction. I see a battle royale mode in its future.

--Showed lots games. Blah blah multiplats. The best versions will be on Xbox.

Cons:

--No actual new IP announcement from the new studios. Thats the zinger they needed from this E3 to tip the scales. Hopefully the new Playground game will be an open world new Fable game.

--Doubling down on PUBG. Fortnite has pretty much nullified PUBG.

--No actual info on Halo Infinite. Apparently this is Halo 6 and doing something to put the gaming into the expanded Halo Universe. Would have been nice to see more than just a cryptic cinematic.

-- A bit too pandering to the weeb whining. We get it you want to appease the boos, but cows gonna cow not sure if its even worth it to try and appease them at this point. Sony fans are toxic they have to realize this. Sure Nier and the the other big Japan multiplats are cool. More games is always good. But this will just fuel the cow 'been there done that its not an exclusive' narrative which is really the big negative cow narrative at this point in the gen. They needed to counter that sooner than later.

--No actual release dates on games I've been waiting to play like Below, Ashen, Brawlout, Riverbond, Away. theres a bunch of cool games I played on the show floor two years ago still not out on Xbox.

--Didnt spend enough time actually talking about the interesting ID@Xbox games they are bringing out some of which looked pretty interesting:

I guess this is because they cant control the release dates of these games.

Random Thoughts:

Cyberpunk 2077 looked kinda janky/not what I expected. I thought it was a trailer for a Shadowrun game.

Dying Light 2 was a surprise. Its quietly one of the best games this gen, especially as far as content goes and fan backing.

Played a playable version of Black Desert on Xbox it lives up to the hype if you like MMOs.

Disappointed but not surprised they didnt mention mixed reality for X1X. Considering PSVR is flailing they probably back burnered it.

Cows already have declared Sony the winners by a landslide since Sony will crush everything with all their upcoming exclusives. (TLoU2, Spiderman and all the other Uncharted clones set in different genres.) Then go back to playing all the same multiplats as everyone else like they always do.

I think Phil summarized it though saying would they want to make franchises and characters that arent just remembered for 10 hours but 10,20 or 30 years.
