So, yeah, I'm looking into getting a new game. I want a shooter (third person or first; doesn't matter), and I want it to be online. But what game do you think has the best online/multiplayer? I'm talking in terms of gameplay modes, player support, activity/popularity, fun, etc.

Also, don't list any games that only work if you're close to someone - I forget which is which, but I'm talking about online where you can play with anyone from anywhere (but I'm thinking that's infrastructure mode).

You're right,  I think it is rather pointless. I believe you must be within 100 feet of the person you wish to chat with, and if it's only that much, you may as well go up and talk to them in person. :P

And to the thought of using it during class - well, I'd have to say that's pretty stupid. Anyone who would be using their DS during a test to cheat or just talk doesn't even deserve one.

I have begun to think this too, but after slipping Super Mario 64 DS back in and re-starting (I played 10 minutes of the N64 version in my life, and I only got to like 17 stars in the DS version before getting bored with it), I'm back into playing it all the time.

Personally, I think DS needs more 3D titles. Just being able to play (if imperfect) 3D games on a handheld is like amazing to me, especially when I don't have to shell out $300 for a PSP (Yes, I know the PSP itself is $200, but then games, batteries, memory sticks - it adds up).

I think Death Jr. is coming out and that looks like a neat 3D game. Rayman DS looks awesome too, and I want to try that. But you're right, lately, there hasn't been much. Every two weeks or so, I'll connect to ebgames.com to check out the DS section and see if anything catches my eye, but it's the same, boring stuff every week.

Hopefully as time goes on, we'll get more interesting, original games, rather than continual 2D remakes. :/

I don't own it, and I've never played it. Heck, I don't even think I've noticed it at the stores. :P

But what I'm seeing is it's being crushed by the critics but most everyone likes it anyway. :/

I know this wasn't very helpful, but it's better than nothing, right? :)

That's impossible to answer, because if you answer it, then someone has played it. You were looking for the "Best DS Game Nobody's Played". Thevincent56

It's just a figure of speech. It's just another way of saying something like "Your favorite most underrated game!". He doesn't literally mean "name your favorite game that no one has played". :)

Holy... crap... I just spent 15 minutes writing this huge message with little short reviews, and it wouldn't post! Man that pisses me off.

Anyway, I don't want to take all that time again, so I'll make this quick. Mech Assault is a good game. It got bashed for it's blocky, sloppy, and overall ugly and bland graphics, but I think they fit the game. The battles are repetetive and somewhat boring, though.

I don't have Asphalt Urban GT 2, but I own the first one, and it's great. It was one of the first games I got for my DS and I was (and still am, I suppose :P) very satisfied with it. Whenever I feel the need for a good, fast-paced race, I pop that in, instead of Mario Kart (which is also a decent game).

Lost Magic seemed good, but it's really rather shallow. The characters suck and the story is cliche, something that an 11 year old videogame addict would come up with. The battles are also really cluttered, and I was dying to just get some space in there so I could fire up my spells with more ease.

Good luck, though. I'd suggest reading official reviews and talking to more people, though. I hope I helped. :)

(I'm copying all this, just in case. :P)

Of the games I've played (maybe 8? :P), I'd say The Sims 2. That game was actually really addicting for me, and I got very far, when all of the sudden, it'd freeze when I opened my pockets. That was one of the few times I actually felt like crying over a game. XD

Thanks for the links, but man, that's pretty expensive. :/ I thought it was only supposed to be like $30 (of course, the magazine was talking about an American release... but still, $50?)?

Ah, well. Thanks for all the info guys. I appreciate it. :)

Ahem... I heard the Opera Web Browser for DS was supposed to come out "soon"... and that was months ago. I also heard it's out in Europe. Is it ever coming to America? If so, when?

I also heard about TV on your DS... what's that all about? Any help on these two subjects would be appreciated, thanks. :)
