I try to stress this to people who want to go back and relive the "classics." Sometimes it just doesn't work unless you were a gamer during that time and experienced the games when they came out. Because at the time these EWJ games were big, was the height of the platforming/mascot era...those days are long gone and no one really makes those types of games anymore.

People try to say games like SONIC CD are overrated because these kids weren't around to play it in 1993 when it came out...but it's not fair to pass that kind of judgement on something like that when you weren't around to enjoy it when it dropped.

So yeah, I hope you find the EWJ games as fun as we did growing up...

This is the best suggestion out of everyones. The best version of EWJ 1 is far and away the SEGA CD version. It's not even a close competition with the 16bit systems

EWJ 2, on the other hand, is REALLY good on SNES. The first level is a nice blue and has a waterfall in it, plus way better music than the Genesis version...but it's even better on Sega Saturn. The music on both is incredible, but Saturn's version (which is also the most rare) is phenominal.

Personally I say stay away from the Genesis/MegaDrive version of EWJ 2. It's the worst.

So yea, EWJ = SegaCD...EWJ2 = Sega Saturn
