I really wasnt won over by this games trailers, but this review actually has Jedi Mind Tricked me into going out and buying a copy tomorrow.

Vanquish (one of the best 3rd person shooters ever) comes out and barely anyone buys it. Another CoD gets put up for preorder 6 months after the last one with the same engine AGAIN and it breaks all records.

Its official, the general public suck.

Fix the nuclear nirnroot and various other existing bugs on my xbox and I might, might, take a look at this.

Despite what most posters here would believe, your fond memories of gaming distant past reminded me of the halcyon days of Cod, ie 1 & 2 which were as far removed from MW era Cods as Counter Strike was. Sure, Cod was never as stripped down, nor purely MP focussed as CS was, but the MP was infinitely more skill based than the current range of games, and MW games, no perks or killstreaks, headshots that really mattered, and a fantastic community that passed from 56k to broadband thru the 2 games. Its no coincidence both Cods featured heavily in pro and amateur tournaments, albeit a distant second place to CS. The days of MGL(not to be confused with MLG), Enemy Down, LANS, EuroDomination, Clanbase and just mucking about with your clanmates on custom made maps and mods prior to an organised evening match seem so out of kilt in today's gaming milieu.

I will wager the gold farmers will have this entire market sewn up within a week. If any player thinks they are going to make substantial money out of selling gold or items at the AH they better think again. The value of even the top gear will crash as the AH is flooded with professional farmers.

Or, alternatively, buy a Popcorn Hour A110 which streams HD footage, as well as any other format you can get your hands on, flawlessly. Hell, you can even stick a Sata HD in there and have movies loaded onto that instead. Gave up on my 360 when it just refused to play half my files, wont even play subs in the same folder. PH will play x264, ISOs, MPEG4, WMV as well as the usual array of DIVXs, XVIDs and other AVIs. You can even watch youtube and a load of other internet based shows from it, inc Apple Trailers. So people, if your interested enough to read the article enough, scrap both machines for movie watching and check out the Popcorn Hour A110. Bad name, Amazing machine.
