Personally I think these surveys and studies that they do on gaming in Australia need to be shoved in that S.A Attorney Generals face (and down his throat). This information could help get that R18 rating we've been waiting for. It's also good to see more parents playing games with there kids, it helps reduce the generation gap and hopefully stops the rise of crime in the future... ok that's going a little too far but still.

Aussie developers have the skills to be great, just not enough workers or financial backing. Who know Australia could end up making the best games in the next generation of consoles.

The simple truth about the prices is the fact that Australia is a PAL region meaning our prices are reflected by the European prices if Australia was a NTSC region i guarantee we wouldn't pay more then $80 a game. Either way as long as there is demand for a game the prices will still be high.

The R18+ classification is a must have in today's growing society where the adults out-number the children. In my opinion not choosing to have a adult rating is discriminating to the majority of gamers and restricts us from being truly considered adults. They say that rating were put in place to protect children and help parents choose age appropriate games, but these days parents don't seem to care due to the stereotypical statement of "Video Games are for kids!" The implementing of an adult classification also gives us more options on our gaming experience, and opens the door to more companies to make games to satisfy all gaming tastes. As a gamer since I was a child I know what would be suitable for my children an any respectful parent would actually go and rent a game to find out if it's suitable for there children before buying it. Hate me if you want but those are my opinions and I hate the shredded games we get as well as too many games being banned. YOU WANT TO SHREDDED SOMETHING GOVERNMENT? HOW ABOUT THE NEWS!!!! The news is on at 5pm and 6pm and we get footage of lots of stuff that is not appropriate for children but the idea of an adult rating is tossed out the door. If anyone is in agreement with me it's good to see more people who speak their hearts If anyone is offended by my comments well you should re-think it next time you what the 6 o'clock news.
