Shortly after ringing in the new year, my brother and I watched the movie 2012 on Blu-Ray. I seen the movie back in early 2010, but on standard DVD. I think a lot of people watched that same movie today. When we were done, my brother logged into facebook, and there was a post from my cousin Krystal that she was also watching 2012. Go figure. A little while after the movie ended, I went to sleep. When I awoke, I had some leftover pizza, and reformatted my computer. From start to finish (and after everything was installed), it probably took close to 4 hours. It took longer to do this time than any other time. Im not too sure why. After my software program "Pinnacle Studio 14" was installed (it allows me to capture my videogame playing sessions), I played the Nintendo Gamecube game "Smuggler's Run - Warzones" on my Nintendo Wii. I was capturing my attempt and trying to beat my High Score for the Training Mission "T-01", and i succeeded after about 20 minutes worth of gameplay. I set a new record for time at "15 seconds, 80 milliseconds" for this level. After editing that video and uploading it to my YouTube Account, I went to sleep for the next four hours or so (on the account I have to work tonight from 11pm until tomorrow morning at 7am). I got up about an hour ago, and got to eat some spaghetti that my brother made... with meatballs. And that leads me up to right now. So, to anyone that is reading this... Happy New Year!! :)
Shortly after I rang in the New Year (drinking beer, eating pizza, and having Oysters), I watched a movie called "The Social Network". It was about how Mark Zuckerburg created Facebook. It was a great movie. I also started a new gamesave file in the game called Excitebike: World Rally (for Nintendo Wii, on the WiiWare service).I then went to sleep in the early am, and woke up in the afternoon.
I then watched the first 2 epsiodes of Disc #5 of Glee Season 1 (episodes 14 and 15 I think). I got that for Christmas, along with several other DVDs and Boxsets.
I played two games of NHL 11 on my Playstation 3.. which I got for Christmas. I still havent played online yet. I might soon... I just wish I had a headset to chat.
Just like last year, we had a roast for dinner tonight. It was delcious. I had raspberry juice with it. I usually have pop, but Im gonna give that up for awhile.
As for my other life ramblings, my freind Sam McRae came home from florida today.... at about 5:00 tonight. She left on December 22nd with her sister and parents. They went to Panama City. I missed her while she was gone. A lot. Im just happy shes homw now.. safely :-)
Anyways, I think Im gonna go play some more video games, and then later I will be watching my very first Blu-Ray movie (on my Playtation 3, of course). It's the new 2010 version of "Nightmare On Elm Street".
Anyways, have a great year everyone. I dont think anyone even read this, but thats ok. Its for my use anyways. ;-)
from Dan :)
Well today was a boring one indeed. I didnt even leave the house today. I played Mario & Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story on my Nintendo DS for about 2 hours, then I also played a bit of New Super Mario Bros. Wii (Im trying to get all three Token Coins in each world). Right now Im on World Six, with the first five worlds already all finished with the Coin Hunting. I beat the game on Boxing Day, but this Coin Hunting has gave the game a longer replay value.
On the homefront, Sophie (my niece), David (my brother) and Patti (his common-law wife) are stil lstaying at our house. They've been here since mid-November, and the five of us are all cramped into a tiny 1-bedroom apartment. Oh well.
My sleeping pattern has been all messed up today. I woke up at atround 7:00 tonight when mom called me for dinner (we had a Roast to celebrate New Year's Day). Last night was the first New Year's Eve I had off since 2004, and I didnt even do anything.. I just stayed at home and chill-axed. Oh well, its cheaper that way. Anyways, Im off to play more Nintendo. Im playing Gamecube games right now on my Wii (Super Monkey Ball 2).
Anyways, Im off for now. I may blog really soon. Who knows? I kinda like looking back upon my life. Maybe Ill make more of an effort. Anyways goodnight!!
Well, here we go again: yet another new year has started. 2009 has begun, and with it, hopefully a prosperous one.
One of my revelations is to watch ALL the Top 10 Movies begininng from 1980 all the way up to 2008. That's nearly 300 movies. BUT, I have already previously viewed quite a bit of those films, so that helps out a lot.
Today I watched "9 to 5" (the Dolly Parton movie). That was the #2 grossing movie of 1980, right behind The Empire Strikes Back. It was the first time I watched it.
In TV, I watched the very first episode of Corner Gas - Season 5. I got the DVD boxset for Christmas, and only now opened it up.
In video games, I played Smuggler's Run on the Gamecube for about an hour. I played the first Training Mission (T01) until I got a really great score. I recorded it on video, and will upload it to YouTube in a few days.
Anyways, Im off to work in about 40 mins. Those stupid night time shifts are killer.... 10:30PM until 6:30AM -- yuck!!! Oh well, after tonight's shift, I'll be on my weekend. So I'll have 2 days to watch lotsa TV, DVD's, and play games (and of course log on to the internet, hehe).
Well, the first day of 2008 is nearly gone, and all I know is I havent had much sleep, and Im heading off to work in a few minutes for an 8-hour shift. I donno how Im gonna do it... Im already dead tired. Oh well.
As for my TV viewing today, I watched the very first episode of Scrubs. I have always wanted to see it, so I finally watched it. It's not bad. I didnt realize Sarah Chalke was on it (she was Becky's replacement for a few seasons on Roseanne). I also watched the first episode of Season 2 of Gilligan's Island (which I bought on DVD last week).
For gaming, I played Super Mario Galaxy for awhile (it's the game I got for Christmas). I also played Blades of Steel on the Virtual Console. I used to play that game daily back in the day!
Anyways, I'm off to work.... these 11pm until 7am shifts are a killer, especially if you have gotten no sleep like me. It sucks. Oh well.
See ya tomorrow!!
Well well.... I finally watched episode 6, 7, and 8 of Dexter. I finally found out who the Ice Truck Killer is, HOWEVER... I did originally guess who it was BEFORE we were introduced to it at the end of episode 8.
Donno what else I'll do tonight... Theres only less than a half an hour left in the day, so who knows?
Well I got up at 8am this morning, and was at work by 10:00. I got sick at work (no, not throwing up), and felt nauseated. Anyways, I got off work at 6pm and biked home (it had freshly snowed, so it sucked).
I watched episode 4 of Rocky and Bullwinkle Season 3 today, as well as an episode of Columbo (episode 3 of season 1).
I played a bit of Final Fantasy I on my Nintendo DS.
Well, in other news, when my mom came home at 2 am this morning, she told me she won $500 bucks at Bingo. Sweet way to start the New Year!
