Wow, I used to be excited about the Wii, but this looks like garbage. Yet another crappy looking port with aweful graphics, surprise surprise. Looks like I won't be getting a Wii at all. I LOVED the Gamecube because the games actually looked really good and you didn't have to swing your arms around while playing. Imho the Xbox and Playstation are far FAR superior to anything Nintendo has come out with for the past 10+ years. Such a shame, Nintendo had such potential, and now they're catering to the casual non gamers. Ouch.

One of the saddest stories in gaming history. :( They truly were one of the best game development companies ever. They could not have ended on a better note with two of the best games ever made, Thief: Deadly Shadows and Deus Ex: Invisible War. Such a great development team, you will be missed. :(

How's THAT for a newcomer? There are so many possibilities for attacks for this guy. He could kick everyone's butt.

Ask if I can come to! Ask if I can come to!

:D

hahaha damn i'd fly out there for that! maybe he could kick our asses, take our names, and give us all jobs! (hey, we can dream.)

Well, I'm going to make my dreams a reality, I won't give up until I get a job at Nintendo. :)

Hey, there's a school around here, that after you get your degree, you automatically get an interview with Nintendo. Do you know the college I'm talking about?

I haven't heard of that, what's the school called? I'd be very interested in checking that out. The one I'm going to is Cascadia Community College.

[QUOTE="SimpJee"] [QUOTE="jraics"]yeah, everyone needs to chill. they're still a loooong way from shipping. having worked at a major game studio for two years i can tell you that early builds are almost always unpolished and not representative of the final gaming experience. i actually worked on a couple of our E3 builds for some of our games and they were quickly put together to give a basic idea of what the game will be like, but of course they're buggy as hell. also, NONE of these games are even in beta yet. they're probably not even in alpha, just in early milestone builds, considering there's still five or six months until they ship. so, to make a short story long...i'm not worried.jraics

I think I'll take the hint, and not worry about these two games until they're about to come out. :D

Which game studio did you work for?

i worked at EA Tiburon here in central florida. it was a really fun job even though EA stands for all that is wrong with the video game industry (milking popular movie licenses, putting out the same game year after year which uses the same five year old engine but with new rosters and schedules, etc...) i would love to be able to work for Nintendo someday.

Very cool man, bummer that it was EA though, yikes. I will be going into game development as well, going to college to major in software engineering. I will be working for Nintendo of America soon, they are located only 10-15 mins away from where I live. :)

Good luck, I might go the PR route and be your boss :P

 I'm screwed.

lol. yeah, that would be cool. maybe i'll make the voyage out to Washington. is that where you are ninjai18? i wouldn't mind getting into the marketing side of things...maybe work for the regginator!

But seriously, are you gonna go into game development? Do you live near Nintendo?

That reminds me, I went up to Nintendo of America and MS the other day and OMG, it's like everything is PERFECT there. It's freakin crazy! You get free sodas at MS too! :D

Me? Yeah, I live in Puyallup, WA. It's a drive, but not that long of a drive. Where is Nintendo of America at?

It's located in Redmond, I live in Woodinville, very close.
