Funny, I just started playing New Vegas again for what seems like the 30th time the other day. Hardcore mode, very hard difficulty with the JE Sawyer mod ... it actually makes the game feel fresh and challenging with all of those weight restrictions, scarcity of ammo, dying of thirst, etc. It never seems to get old.
Hopefully Bethesda lets Obisdian do another sister project to go alongside FO4. Not to say that I didn't like FO3 (it was pretty good) it's just that it always felt like a giant amusement park compared to the grit and nuance presented in New Vegas.
Don't forget, if you want in on the kickstarter goodies, you can still pledge (a sort of pre-order, but not quite) by going to Larian's Divinity: Original Sin website and get in on the action until May 10th.
One thing KVO didn't mention is that there's also going to be a fully featured toolset included with the shipped game. It reminded me a lot of the Neverwinter Nights 1/2 mod tools, which could be really fantastic for the longevity of the game.
You mean like Tim Cain and Chris Avellone who were the creative forces that actually gave us Fallout 1 and 2 in the first place? Well I suppose it's too bad they didn't get all of the QA and testing folks from Black Isle, cause that would certainly add some credibility to their claim on the Black Isle name.
