@streamline: I sort of agree, but in a way, he has free licence to deviate from the series at this point. Having a totally different story would help draw people from the show back to the books. But yeah, just having the show out there would screw with most writers head. Audience expectations can damper the process. So either he finishes the next one and sort of just peters out before starting the last book or somehow gets a renewed spark. It just may take even more time in between books.
@DanielL5583 @nigelholden I guess I can see the point there. Especially the idea of introducing games to a newer audience who may not be able to afford high mark ups for retros. But stuff like this just feels like a cash grab to me.
I have never understood the draw of remastering a game. An album, sometimes. But with games, the differences are usually minor graphical tweaks and a few extras that I could care less about. At least not $60 dollars worth. But that's me.
I honestly never understood subscription fees before playing an MMO I really likes, FFXIV. After learning how to play that sort of game (still learning), I have come to appreciate the sheer amount of updates, and content. I have been having more fun spending $12 per month rather than $60-$120 a month on different games. But that's just my experience at the moment.
It seems like they got way over their heads and drowned pretty quickly. While that's on them, it's somewhat understandable. It happens. But the way they handled themselves after the fallout seems beyond shameful.
@Tso11 Are the same exact people complaining about these different things, or is it possible they are just of another opinion that the other complainers?
